I was so excited to find a 10 mg pxl camera at such a bargained price. This camera takes excellent photos and when you use some of the varies photo settings that is comes with like for fireworks, flowers, candle light, beach, snow, sunset there is even a museum photo setting! When I first got the camera I did notice the same annoying clicking noise that one of the other reviewers wrote about, the clicking noise happens when you are taking video and you can actually hear it in the video if the video was taken in a quiet setting. I did go to the Kodak website for an answer to this problem and all I had to do was use the menu button to change the video setting on the camera to a lower setting, apparently it makes clicking noises when it is trying to focus on its higher setting (which is turned on when you get the camera). Every once in a while the lens flips out and does not close when I turn it off but I just turn it on and then back off again and it works just fine. The fact that the camera is refurbished I would have to say I is a great camera for what I payed for.
a month after i got it i was having trouble with only half of the lens cover closing when i turned off the camera. also, when i uploaded some of the photos i took, they would not show up correctly on my computer. in the camera they were fine, but the computer files only showed the outline of the bottom half of one photo. i plan to take advantage of the warranty.
What a bargain! 10 mega pixels, cute color, small, very easy to operate.. No scratches, everything is working the way it should (I say this because it's a "refurbished" model). The only minus is that when you record a video, it makes a clicking noise when the lens is focusing and you can hear it focusing in the videos that it makes. It is a very soft click and you could hardly hear it, plus I recorded in silence, when there is music or people talking you can't hear it. I got it checked out at a local electronics repair place, and what was told to me was that it is a perfect functioning camera, and the noise is the focus when it is recording. Overstock has satisfied me as a customer once again!!
I dont know if the reason this camera took very poor quality pictures was because it was refurbished. The camera wouldnt focus correctly. Most of the pictures in low light areas where all blurry. I had a Kodak before where this wasnt a problem. This camera would warn you the picture was blurry but wouldnt correct it. I wouldnt recommend this camera to anyone.
I was impressed with the delivery time involved as I wanted the item for a trip taking place Aug 2, 2008. However, I thought I was ordering a new camera, and upon arrival found it was refurbished, which I did not appreciate. I checked the description of the product before purchasing to determine if the product was refurbished, (comparing with an item that specifically indicated refurbished). To my dismay, the camera came as refurbished. I DO however appreciate the fact that the camera was easy to use and I received wonderful pictures. I have not developed as yet, but look forward to the quality, I would expect from Kodak. My only concern hinges on whether I will continue to appreciate the EasyShare, being that it is refurbished or if I will encounter problems.
I bought this camera for my daughter and i lover it. I test it all weekend and took more tan 200+ picture, with out a dought one of the best cameras yet. i did made manor adjustment and the result were amazing. Easy to use, pretty picture perfect . excelent as a gift
The camera was refurbished. The guarantee is fine but for $20.00 more you could buy it brand new. Deal,,, I don't believe so. Good quality that Kodak is known for. Gave it to my 17year old who loves the features. Overall O.K.
I had an older model of the EasyShare and upgraded to this one so I could use the same photo printer. It is a great camera and works very easily. It seems to have great quality on the photos and many features that I am still learning. I would highly recommend.
