Kodak
The Kodak name is nearly synonymous with photography, and that association comes from a long history of technological innovation stretching back to the company's founding in the late 19th century. Kodak cameras, film and image-processing electronics have been at the center of professional and amateur photography for over a hundred years, and Kodak is still one of the most recognized names in film.
Having long focused on bringing film cameras into the hands of hobbyists and other students of photography, Kodak lost no time in offering high-quality Kodak digital cameras, starting in 2000. Popular models like the Kodak EasyShare series and Kodak Z18 combine high-resolution digital sensors with automatic focus, white balance and other settings in a compact point-and-shoot design. Neither have the engineers at Kodak forgotten to develop DSLR cameras and lenses for more advanced photographers. Kodak camcorders follow the same simplicity of design while maintaining a level of quality that shows in the high-resolution photos and HD video they are capable of capturing. The latest developments from Kodak are just more in a long line of innovations stretching from their 8 mm film cameras in the mid-20th century.
Cameras were only the beginning for Kodak. Having pioneered photographic film development, it was a logical step for the company to start developing Kodak printers and scanners and shape the way the world stores, prints and transmits digital photos. Kodak has innovated photo printing with high-quality inkjet printers and slide scanners that enable both home printing of digital photos directly from Kodak cameras and the digitizing of your old photographic slides. Offering durable Kodak camera bags and accessories like Kodak camera batteries also filled niches for professionals and novices alike. The company remains a force in film and digital photography merely by its broad offering of cameras and photo accessories.
As a brand, Kodak continues to be at the forefront of photography by putting its technology into the hands of professional filmmakers and photographers. Still, it manages to be the most recognized name in hobby photography by offering multiple products to put professional-quality photographic tools into the hands of everyday shooters.

    • Great Buy, and Camera!!

This camera was a great value, it came with the usb cord, a wall charger, and the software!! brand new camera would never know it was refurbished. one tip though you have to buy a memory chip otherwise it only holds about 7 pictures, otherwise great camera, easy to use and great quality pictures!

    • Simple little camera with a few quirks

I wanted a simple camera to post digital photos to the web and make 4"x6" prints. I travel a lot and wanted my camera to have (1) low cost, (2) large view screen, (3) slim profile, (4) light weight, (5) ease of use, (6) adequate shutter speed for the price. Everything is great, and I got a little more than expected in terms of low price, slim and light design, and ease of transferring photos to computer (either by SD card or by USB connection, it is easy and there is no need to install any software). However, I have a few complaints. (A) The USB connection point to the camera is NOT the standard size. Therefore, if you forget your Kodak charger, you can't just use another USB cord you may have lying around. You ALWAYS have to use the Kodak charger. Also, if you use one of those all-in-one chargers that has a "Kodak" adapter, the device will probably fry your camera and make it inoperable forever. (B) The dark blue color is insconpicuous, which is good for some, but I would have preferred a brighter blue so I can see the camera in my bags. (C) Some of the camera functions (macro, photo types like backlit/action/portrait/etc.) are triggered by a dial on TOP of the camera. I would have preferred these functions be accessible through the all-in-one button on the BACK of the camera by the LCD screen, along with the timer and other settings that are already there. Using the dial on top of the camera to trigger those functions is awkward.

    • NO HELP!!!!

I don't know how good this camera works. I got to take about 2 pictures and now it say's that the memory is full. We hope by buying a larger memory card it will fix the problem. The 23 page instructions are limited and not very good. This review is more a review of Kodak and the limited instructions that I got with the camera. So Overstock your service was great - the produce ??

    • Great Camera

I bought this camera because my old camera would go through batteries at an obscene rate. This camera is great because I can charge it and it doesn't run out in the middle of an event. I would say a charge lasts for 2 events which works perfectly! The camera uses a USB cord to loads images onto the computer- very convenient. It's also nice because the USB cord also works with a block charger that connects to the wall. So only one real cord is necessary- no crazy multitude of cords to get confused with. It's easy to operate. There aren't a million special features, so if you're into those, this might not be the camera for you. I've dropped it before and it's held up well. So far I have no complaints. And I like the navy blue color!

    • good digital camera

If you are looking for a good easy to use digital camera, try the Kodac easy share series. It takes good pictures, decent videos and doesn't cost a fortune. Also make sure and check to make sure you get the ones with rechargeable batteries.... a feature that could easily save hundreds of dollars instead of spending hundreds of dollars on batteries.
