I purchased this for my husband to go with his 3G Nano. I did not do a lot of research as this one mentioend int he description that it fit the 3G and I didn't want to spend more than the Nano costs on a pair of Bose. Overall the speakers have good sound quality, they can fill a room and are very compact. The nano looks great when in the speakers - it keeps the clean line and doesn't stick out. The added pouch/carrying case is a nice bonus. They work on battery, USB, AC adaptor and can connect to other devices such as a laptop or portable CD player. My one complaint, they work on an AC adaptor but one was not included.

These portable nano ipod speakers are an average vaule - my biggest disappointment is no AC adabpter.

This thing is great. A true shuffle speaker that plugs in using the earphone jack, not a long wire that attaches. One of the few speaker sets for the shuffle that you can actually plug into a wall (with a usb adapter for wall socket). The sound is amazing good for such an inexpensive speaker. The kids take them everywhere & love them. Easy to use. We are very pleased with these. Would buy them again in a heartbeat for a gift or whatever.

Being able to hear the vocals is important. The speaker system does not work well.
