Bought the product and all i can say is WOW!!! It sounds crisp, the bass is deep and the volume that the system goes without loss of sound quality is absolutely amazing! only thing i have against it is there is no clock display (however my ipod/iphone has a clock so thats no big) and there is also no AM/FM radio. (again you can get an app from itunes for that anyway) all in all the system packs a big punch for its size and easily fills up a large area! louder and almost as clear as my Sony HD Blu Ray home theatre system and thats really saying something. no need for buttons on the device i thought as there is a remote that works perfectly! it does what it does very well! highly recommended!

My son loves it. It sounds almost as good as my Sony Home Stereo system with Infinity Speakers. What a wall of sound this unit puts out. Very clear and great low end. What a deal as compared to the Bose. I would consider buying another one for myself.

I bought this dock for my wife to use with her iPhone in the kitchen. She loves it and uses it all the time. Great sound.

Good product however, unless I am doing something wrong, the adapter didn't fit the ipod nano I have. I also thought the sound quality for the price could have been slightly better. No battery option for portability. Would of also liked to see a mid-range setting on the eq also. I didn't have time to shop and try every docking station stereo out there. For me its loud enough and sounds good enough, but could have been a little cheaper. would still recommend it.

I ordered this iPod dock to use at my wedding in May 2012 (I'm sure that I'll update the review once we actually utilize the machine for that purpose). However, we've been using it in the apartment and my fiancé (a musician) really likes the sound quality. We have it on one of the lower numbered volume settings and it works great! I'm confident that it will work well for our wedding so that we can do a customized play list.

This was a gift for my husband so he would finally let go of his old 24-cd stereo that is continually stuck. My tech-savy boys say mom made a great choice. We think the sound is excellent. Easy to operate. BIG sound for a small unit - definitely works for our living room stereo.

I was very excited to receive this product especially for the price o.co was selling it for. The shipment was very fast and took under a week to come to me in Georgia. However, when I tried to turn on the product, it would not show any signs of life. The blue screen never lit up, but for some reason, the AC adapter's light did. I was impressed with the customer service, but disappointed that my product was broken. I rated them 4 stars for the customer service and help on the returns.

Based on the review I read I was expecting a Bose quality device. In actuality the box sounds more like an IHome with amplified base. The sound is not crisp. The base is muffled. All in all I would not buy this again after hearing it play.

I read a lot of the reviews on this product before we purchased it. There were some mixed reviews, but felt this was a great price and we should give it a try. We were very surprised at the quality of the sound even when you crank it up. The only thing we would like in this product that it does not have is the ability to use it with batteries so we could take it down on the dock or further in the backyard without being tethered to power. But overall, very happy with this speaker!

I was shopping for a docking station for my Ipod Touch with Aux in for my phone. I narrowed down to the Bose SoundDock and Ihome IP1. I didn't even know about this Kicker at first. I listened to the Bose's sound in Best Buy. It sounded amazing. However the high price tag set me off. I went to Costco and tried out the Ihome IP1. The price was within my budget (around $200). Sound was clean, nice treble, deep bass. But when I cranked up the volume, it started to distorted the sound. That then I went home and did more Googling. I found Kicker iK501. To be honest, I was not familiar with the band. But I was shocked on how many positive reviews iK501 received. Funny was that when I drove my car alone the highway, I saw a banner from a car stereo store featured Kicker speakers. I told myself to give this try. First thing when I unboxed the dock, was set the volume to 10 and try a contemporary R&B. I almost wept. The sound was just amazing. Bass was deep. Treble was balance. Midrange was clear and clean. I cranked up the volume to 15 and it had no distortion. I didn't expect it was that good in such high volume. I didn't need to set it higher since it was already very very loud. With all the praises I have above, there are two downsides you may want to consider. If you are looking into high treble, this system may not be for you. As I noted, this system delivers a balance treble. Thus the treble will not stand out. Also if you are looking for an elegant design, then you may not like this. This system design has an alien style. To put into perceptive, think of Boss design is like Mac design. Ihome IP1 design is like Sony PC design. And iK501 design is Alienware design. If you don't know what I meant, go to Best Buy and check out the PC and Mac section to get the idea :) So in conclusion, if you are looking for a big bangs for your bucks on Ipod docking, iK501 is worth every penny! And you don't mind the two shortcomings, it will amaze you! BTW, did I also mention that using AUX for input is also as good as the Ipod cradle digital input?
