Too small
 from TN,  Jan 5, 2010

This is too small for a 15.4 laptop. The plastic does not seem to be good quality and it does not have enough rubber stoppers.

Maybe yes
from New York NY,  Aug 27, 2009

The cooling stand is not the right size for a laptop - it is notebook size. Accordingly, a laptop does not sit on it as securely as it would if it were the full size of a laptop - 13" or a 15". It is definitely too small for a 17" laptop. It does do the cooling part. It is easy to set up, just open it, and it does stay in place on the desk. I think the description of its size should be corrected so as not to mislead other purchasers. As I need only use it for one or two months a year I can accept it, but I wouldn't want it if it were an everyday need - this would color my recommendation to anyone. I have a 15" laptop.

Great value for the price
from Vero Beach, FL,  Mar 21, 2009

This product exceeded my e xpectatons. It not only is easy to install and use, but it works exactly as advertised! I will probably get another one for my daughter's laptop as she wanted to steal mine!

Laptop stand
from Michigan City IN,  Jun 16, 2010

It is anything but... It is too small for a lap, falls between your legs. The elevation stand is hard to get to, had to use a butter knife to pry it up. Yes it will work if you are using it as you sit under the covers in bed or on a table top. For $2 more could've had one with a real fan in it and extra USB ports.

If I purchased another laptop stand, I would buy one with a fan. But this liftoff pad works fine.
