Apparently this does not work with Apple products... not my Mac Air. Thought it was broken, but tried it with PC and it was fine. I would recommend as long as you don't have a Mac.

i've bought and many things from overstock over the years..this is the worst..says it fits a 15inch..NOPE 13. speakers sounded awful and when you turn that off you're regular speakers don't work.don't disappoint yourself like i did. now i'm stuck w/ it. can you say goodwill donation.

Now I can hear my Netflix without a problem! The fan works great the speakers work great.

I bought this cooling fan because my old one started dying on me and I can't go without one. The main reason I bought this one was for the speakers, but I was extremely disappointed to discover that my 13" MacBook doesn't put out enough power for the speakers. When I first plugged it in, I got a message telling me something to this effect. I switched it from speakers + fan mode to just fan mode and it works fine. I had read the other review that it didn't work with a MacBook Air, but I decided to chance it anyway, since the price is good compared to other fans and cooling mats. It's POSSIBLE this might work with a PowerBook or MacBook Pro, but I wouldn't bother risking it. Another thing, it's extremely small. I like that it fits into my backpack; the old one was rather huge and didn't fit, so it was a bit cumbersome to travel with. However, the small size of this one makes it kind of awkward, since it's smaller than my laptop itself, and I have to keep the laptop over to the left side where all the heat is generated, otherwise the fan doesn't cool it down much. Even then it still remains very warm, whereas my old Belkin one kept the laptop completely cool. I don't think this one's high enough to allow good air circulation. So basically the only thing I like about this fan is that it's very portable, and the USB cable detaches, or can be wrapped up in the bottom while still attached. I'm going to get another Belkin; it's more expensive, but I know it's a good brand and it works well.

I love this laptop holder. I loved mine so much I also bought one for my daughter-in-law...she loves it too. One of the best things I bought for my laptop. I would recommend it to everyone.
