Very Good Detector
I bought this to replace my Escort that was stolen this year. I've had this one a few weeks now and I highly recommend it. Its very light but I've seen it first hand scramble a gun aimed at my car. The audible alarms are very loud even over my loud radio. It has almost no false alarms and I work in a large metropolitan city but commute daily from the suburb i live. Great value here. It hasn't failed to pick up radar or laser that I could see. It is working better than my old detector.

Forget Escort
This radar detector is fantastic! I rate it right up there, or better than the Escort Solo II. It gives off a much more advanced 360 degree warning and I haven't received a ticket with it yet. At first I was skeptical about purchasing it, but it does everything the manufacturer says it will do. You can't go wrong with this little detector.

NOT FOR ME
The unit arrived promptly, no problems with shipping. The unit is light weight, with a sleek design. It does go off everytime I drive by the airport, but there a lot of signals there. The cord is coiled, and too short to reach my cigarette lighter. I had to stretch it all the way straight to reach the cigarette lighter to plug it in. I would really like a cord that is long enough to reach the power source easily. It has only gone off a couple of times, and not when their are police cars in site. Maybe the police I see on the freeway haven't had their radar on, which is a good thing. :-) At any rate, based on other reviews that I have read, this product is represented as reliable. I would prefer a model that fits under the sun viser vs one that mounts on the dash of the car.

Terrible Chord
Like the others said (and I did not listen) the chord is just too darned short! On top of that, the chord material is note like plastic, as opposed to rubber. It just does not have enough reach regardless o what kind of vehicle u are driving. Capable detector -- yes. If I can find a replacement chord, that acts like other Radar detector chords I've used, then this thing would b a 5. Why the manufacturer slumped on the power chord??? No idea. But my honest opinion is move on to another unit, unless u know for sure your power outlet to where you will mount this is 6" or less (seriously).

Decent No-Frill Detector
I used this detector on my trip from Chicago to Florida. Even though I stay close to speed limits, I wanted to push it at times. The detector warned me of numerous site at night which is "when I make up lost time."
