I bought this for my 4 year old daughter. She has inherited one of our iPods to play music in her room and during the night while sleeping. It's very cute and compact with decent sound quality. I might not recommend it for a college student as it's very simplistic, but its certainly a nice device for 4-10 year olds.

Bought this product for my 9 year old daughter. Looks great and has nice sound for its size. Only negative is that the alarm cannot be set to wake to the ipod, only a chime that has one volume level - VERY loud.

Pros:The sound on this radio system is very well done. Loud enough to hear even on it's smallest setting. Ipod fit well and the remote is handy even when standing across the room. Alarm Clock is LOUD which is great because it wakes me up! For the price of this dock, and features it has, I'd recommed it to someone who is wanting a small but easy listening device. Cons: The only con I had about this was trying to figure out how to fix the time and the alarm on the radio. It definitely does help to read the instructions! But even with them, it took a while to figure it out. The backlit clock is also fairly bright, so for someone who likes a night light, this works perfectly, but can be distracting if you need it dark in your room to sleep. Overall I am definitely pleased with this product. I've used it for about a month now and everything is in working order.

I reviewed this on the manufacture website as well as here & believed it would play with the latest generation ipod...it doesn't! it works well for the older versions...but if you have a newer ipod, keep looking.
