I bought this for my folks for Christmas. Most of their music is on cassettes. It's impossible to find a decent cassette player anymore. Although I didn't want to spend as much as I did on this unit, it has amazing capabilities; can even be connected to your TV for home theater surround sound.
It includes a separate bass whoofer, but to honest, the overall sound isn't quite as good as I expected.
It was still a great buy, with tons of extras (even includes hookups for iPods and USB connections to computers).
