Great Little HTPC I paired it with a Sandisk Extreme II SSD and 8GB of 1600 RAM, connected to a Seiki 39" 4K TV. This is a very good HTPC. It boots up Windows 8.1 in about the same time the TV turns on. The Intel HD6000 graphic has no problems output 4K@30Hz (the highest my TV can accept). It also does semi hardware assisted HEVC at 4K, as long as the bit rate is not very high. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.

How much RAM does this unit come with? Specs say that it can take a maximum of 16GB, but something tells me that it does not come with that much at the posted price. According to the description, the system has room for either a 2.5" HDD OR an M.2 SSD, however the specs say it should actually have both. No? Does it come with an M.2 SSD? If so, how big of an SSD is it? I am comparing this to the Meerkat model being offered by System 76, which is being sold with 4GB of RAM, 32GB M.2 SSD, and Ubuntu 14.04 pre-loaded for $614 USD.

Actually, it doesn't come with RAM or disc drive. The CPU is included, but you need to add the amount of RAM that you need. You also need to an M.2 SSD and/or an HDD. You can't add an internal ODD. You can attach an external USB ODD.
