This product isn't compatible with the 3rd generation ipod nano. If you have one, don't purchase this product; save yourself the trouble and find one that will connect via the USB port on your ipod (or, rather, where you plug in the chord that has the USB on the end of it, which plugs into your computer's USB port).
Works great. I have tried it with iPod Nano (1st gen) and iPod Video (5th gen), but it says on the description it is compatible with many other iPods.
Here's what I did and both the audio/visual worked.
- Plug cord into headphone jack, other 3 cords into TV.
- Audio should work immediately.
- To display photos, start at the main iPod menu.
1) Click center to select Photos
2) Click center to select Photo Library
3) Click PLAY/PAUSE to start a slideshow
4) Slideshow begins onscreen.
(To change slideshow settings: click photos-> click slideshow settings.)
-To display video, start at the main iPod menu.
1) Click center to select Videos
2) Click center to select Settings
3) Click center to change settings so it says: TV Out, TV Signal NTSC.
4) Click menu to return to Videos
5) Select a video, press play/pause to play that video.

I purchased this product to show pictures and videos to family on a tv. This product DOES NOT WORK. I get nothing! DON'T BUY IT!!! Worst waste of money!
