I bought this remote to prevent the daily hide and seek games with my smaller remotes. This one is nearly impossible to lose and programming it is a snap. You can either use the codes included in the packaging or use the "code search" button and simply keep pressing the on/off button on the remote until you get a reaction from your electronic device (TV, DVD player, VCR, etc) and then press "enter." It is that easy. This works for multiple devices (up to 5) and if you cannot see the print, consider buying a Braille model and a guide dog. I bought 2 additional units for Christmas gifts this year. No command chair should be without one of these.

I purchased this remote to replace a replacement remote for an visually impaired person. It does not light up but the buttons are HUGE and I blacked out those that don't need to be touched and it has worked out very well. It is very easy to program also. I have had many people comment on it and how it would help with their family member.

I bought this for my dad as a father's day gift and he loves it. I don't hear him complaining about losing the remote anymore.

i bought this remote because i'm always losing mine around the house and figured this is big enough that i could find it easily. Ufortunately there is one major drawback (which is why i came to overstock to buy a different one): It takes two hands to work because I have to try dfferent positions and push the buttons repeatedly and hard to chage the channel. I have mild arthritis and this really hurts.

Doesn't have codes for all brands, in fact even some more recent brands aren't listed in their codes. And the search option doesn't find them. Their website is less than helpful as far as support goes.

I bought this for my dad who is having some trouble with the smaller remote. He seems to like it alot- and no complaints from my mother about him messing up the remote hitting all the buttons trying to find the one he wants... so guess mission accomplished!!

Too Big, takes two hands to operate and you have to really point it at the television to get it to work.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my father who is losing his vision. He's really not into a lot of gadgets so a remote with the numbers, volume, power and channel up and down would have been enough...but he's learned to use it enough to do what he needs. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!

I purchased this product for my husband who does not see very well. I bought it because of the large numbers. This product does not include enough codes to successfully program the remote to change channels and operate the cable box. I got recommendations on how to program it from the Internet. These instructions were successful. However, it still does not control the volume on the box nor the TV.

Unfortunately this remote does not live up to its designation of "universal". I only had three pieces of equipment for this remote to operate: a TV, a DVD/VHS combo, and an audio receiver. I got the TV programmed on the first attempt using the code supplied in the op manual. And that's where my expectancy of having purchased a great piece of equipment ended. None of the codes in the op manual worked for the combo. Using the "search" function to find the correct code is extremely tedious with having to press a button hundreds of times and then coming up empty-handed. I knew I was out of luck when I saw that there wasn't even a button to program for the audio receiver. I thought I might be able to program one of the buttons I wasn't going to use (e.g. "cable") to enable at least on/off on the receiver but that wasn't meant to be. So the net value of this purchase is that I can now use three remotes to perform the same functions that I used to do with two.

Tried over and over on multiple TV's and it doesnt work.

The product worked very well on the first TV and VCR I used, but when I went to put it on a different TV and VCR, then the first one quit working properly - I finally got it to work on about two out of the four set ups that I was hoping to use it on. So at least it is working properly on two of them...

My father loved his *giant* remote! Since he's getting older, the little buttons on his old universal remote were too difficult to see. This one was so big it made everyone laugh but he loves it and it makes TV and movie watching so much more enjoyable for him.

I got this for my step-father, whose vision is failing him, although he'll never admit it. I said it was so my mother wouldn't misplace the remote anymore. Either way both issues are taken care of now. I' m getting another for my grandparents too! Thanks!

Love the size of this product- lose the small one all the time which drives me crazy- often under a dog on the sofa or under a magazine etc. -NO MORE! I love the jumbo remote.

After losing way too many remotes, our kids got us this giant remote. It has brought a lot of laughs, but it works great and it won't get lost!

Good item for husband who has problems with eyesight due to diabetes.

Great device. Still readjusting to placement of buttons. Cool conversation piecw. Wish it would power off all devices at once, but a minor flaw.

Very easy to program. Great for those of us who cannot see small numbers.
