Xerox 8R7881 Black Ink Cartridge (Remanufactured)

My office has 4 Xerox XK50cx for printing/scanning, faxing and copying and and 1 laser copier for necessary multi copying. First of all, let me say that the price is very reasonable considering a new 8R7881 is more expensive for the Xerox OEM cartridge. If this product worked as well as it's ad claims and was ready out of the box, I would have ordered 10+, but have learned in the past to only buy 2 the first time for trial purposes. As I had imagined, the price was indeed too good to be true. The very first problem I had was that the cartridge needed to be fully primed prior to insertion otherwise there was no ink coming out at all. Mind you, the problems I'm listing were identical on BOTH cartridges I purchased. Even after an extensive priming, I had to run nearly 5 maintenance runs to "clean the cartridge head" until I had a solid black bar appearing on the test page. Following this I ran the alignment, going step-by-step as outlined in the Xerox XK50cx manual. The alignment took 3 to 4 tries before it came as close as possible (noticeably different settings from previous cartridges I've purchased online and at one of the chain office supply stores). The final problem that will not change no matter what I try is that the first page printed, does not fully print the top portion of the words until it gets to the 3rd line of printing. Again, an indication that the cartridge is not allowing the ink to flow properly and fully, as one would expect. This is very frustrating, time consuming and a shameful waste of paper to say the least. Is it possible I got 2 lemons? Are the odds that poor? I hope not, as I was planning on purchasing my cartridges through overstock .com but am now very hesitant.
