InFocus IN112 3D Ready Refurbished DLP Projector - HDTV - 4:3

Description
Description

The SVGA (800 x 600) resolution InFocus IN112 Mobile DLP Projector is a lightweight and compact workhorse that can pump out 2700 lumens of brightness at a 3000:1 contrast ratio on a continuous 24/7 duty cycle. It weighs about five pounds (2.2 kg) and its footprint is about the size of a sheet of US letter paper. Thanks to its 0.55-inch DLP DMD imaging panel (the part that forms the image) it can crank out vivid, true-to-life pictures and they can be in the NTSC, PAL or SECAM video systems or the full gamut of high definition HD formats including 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

  • Don't do it

I had high hopes for this projector since it came with such great reviews, and I rarely review a product myself unless I'm so frustrated that I have to. This is one of those times. First of all this projector has overheated several times. It is propped up with adequate ventilation, but the heat this thing has generated is insane. On the very first day of professional use, it overheated. Needless to say that is embarrassing and just not acceptable. The other problem that has continued is the remote. First of all, it doesn't work to advance slides. So I called Infocus, who told me I needed a USB cord, but they were unable to tell me which kind of a mini USB I needed. Idiots. Finally figured it out myself. But then the remote still didn't work. Turns out you need to "enable" the remote in the advanced menu (again the idiots at Infocus had no idea what to do, and I figured this out on my own), each and every time you power it. That's right, you can't just turn on the projector and use your remote. Every. Single. Time. Returning this item immediately, and hoping no one else has to go through this drama.

  • Great for the price!

This is a great projector for those on a budget. I got it for exhibit displays for my business at trade show events. I wish it had am HDMI connection. I was able to use my iPad with it through use of a 30-pin to VGA dongle and the included VGA cord.

  • Can I insert a USB flash drive and project a Powerpoint file without a PC? Remote control to advance slides?

    Guidelines
    • Hello barenblitt, Yes you can insert a USB flash drive and project a Powerpoint file without a PC. InFocus has a small software program that will take Powerpoint, Excel, Word or whatever and transform the output files into pictures (.jpg). You then store those on your flash drive and plug that directly into the back of the projector. No need to lug a computer around; no need for two wall outlets, for trying to get the computer to talk to the projector, etc., etc. It will also show pictures from a digital camera as well from your flash drive. The convenience alone is worth it. Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions. Thank you for shopping with us!

  • When I asked about optimum distance, I was referring to how close the projector needed to be to the viewing screen for the best image. I was not referring to how long the lamps lasted...

    Guidelines
    • The specs list 4.9’-39’ for the IN112 throw distance. If the room has a decent amount of light, InFocus would recommend trying to keep it 15’ or less from the screen for a brighter image. Have a great day!

  • What is the optimum distance for this projector?

    Guidelines
    • The InFocus IN100 Series are not only some of the lowest cost projectors we've ever sold, but also have one of the longest-lasting lamps - for incredibly low total cost of ownership. These value-packed projectors are easy to buy and built to perform with high brightness, high contrast ratio and BrilliantColor technology. Plus, their slim, compact design and light weight make them as easy to move around as they are to install.
