Great Value for a outdoor watching experience for the entire family...and if you wanted a home theater.... this surely would be the thing to buy!!!

  • Great for the price!

This is a great projector for those on a budget. I got it for exhibit displays for my business at trade show events. I wish it had am HDMI connection. I was able to use my iPad with it through use of a 30-pin to VGA dongle and the included VGA cord.

  • Don't do it

I had high hopes for this projector since it came with such great reviews, and I rarely review a product myself unless I'm so frustrated that I have to. This is one of those times. First of all this projector has overheated several times. It is propped up with adequate ventilation, but the heat this thing has generated is insane. On the very first day of professional use, it overheated. Needless to say that is embarrassing and just not acceptable. The other problem that has continued is the remote. First of all, it doesn't work to advance slides. So I called Infocus, who told me I needed a USB cord, but they were unable to tell me which kind of a mini USB I needed. Idiots. Finally figured it out myself. But then the remote still didn't work. Turns out you need to "enable" the remote in the advanced menu (again the idiots at Infocus had no idea what to do, and I figured this out on my own), each and every time you power it. That's right, you can't just turn on the projector and use your remote. Every. Single. Time. Returning this item immediately, and hoping no one else has to go through this drama.

  • InFocus Projector

You can,t beat the price for very high quality projectors. I do not find refurbished to be an issue at all. Have purchased many times.

Can I insert a USB flash drive and project a Powerpoint file without a PC? Remote control to advance slides? barenblitt on Oct 18, 2013

Answer This Question

Hello barenblitt, Yes you can insert a USB flash drive and project a Powerpoint file without a PC. InFocus has a small software program that will take Powerpoint, Excel, Word or whatever and transform the output files into pictures (.jpg). You then store those on your flash drive and plug that directly into the back of the projector. No need to lug a computer around; no need for two wall outlets, for trying to get the computer to talk to the projector, etc., etc. It will also show pictures from a digital camera as well from your flash drive. The convenience alone is worth it. Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions. Thank you for shopping with us! overstockcustomercare1 on Oct 22, 2013

When I asked about optimum distance, I was referring to how close the projector needed to be to the viewing screen for the best image. I was not referring to how long the lamps lasted... pitchinpeg on Feb 6, 2013

Answer This Question

The specs list 4.9’-39’ for the IN112 throw distance. If the room has a decent amount of light, InFocus would recommend trying to keep it 15’ or less from the screen for a brighter image. Have a great day! overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 8, 2013
