i have been using these for several years because card in computers didn't work . I get sound! I have gone through 3 over the last six+ years (2 computers)because they are fragile and a hard bump can break plastic casing. I have still used them by banding the case together but at the price buying two spares is acceptable; and I feel more comfortable at my "skill" level plugging these into a usb port rather then putting a new card inside, also less $....
