The batteries work fine but the pin contact tends to pop out when the plug is inserted. It's possible to fix it but it's a real pain. Clearly the plug design is not good enough to hold the pin in place. But then the price is very good and if you're careful they can be got to fit.Read More

Great replacement battery for my Uniden cordless phone model# DCT6485. It is a direct replacement for battery model# BT-446 and as I have learned, those replacements are not always created equal. The one I bought prior to this from Smartbatts (Sm44600) was absolute garbage and lasted less than a year. The cord to connect it inside the battery compartment was too long and got snagged in cover when closing, making for an awkward fit. This one form Overstock.com was a perfect fit and delivered everything I expected (more than fair price, extremely reasonable shipping). A great product at an awesome price! Very happy.Read More

How to Choose a Replacement Battery for Your Cell Phone
Most modern cell phones are more than just a communication device; they also serve as a navigation system, a Web browser, a handheld game system, a music player, a day-planner and much more. It's getting harder and harder to get by without one of these multifunction cell phones. But running all those applications uses a lot of battery power. And even with cell phone accessories like car chargers and emergency chargers, your battery power may not last long enough. Over time, your cell phone battery will start to degrade and battery life will shorten. When a cell phone battery starts to degrade, you may think of replacing your cell phone altogether. But if your cell phone is still fairly new, it may be less expensive to buy a replacement battery. This guide will help you choose a replacement battery for your cell phone.
Top 5 Uses for Cordless Drills
Cordless drills operate on rechargeable batteries, allowing the user to snap in a battery pack and enjoy instant drill power without a power cord. While these cordless drills are useful for numerous applications, some uses are more popular than others. Perhaps the most versatile item in the carpenter's toolbox, the cordless drill substantially reduces the labor necessary to complete many projects. As long as the battery pack has a full charge, you can use your cordless drill anywhere; you don't have to be near an electrical outlet.
Wireless Routers vs Wired Connections
When you create a home network, you can choose between a wired connection and a wireless network. Most wired connections will use Ethernet cables to connect your computer to a router or directly to your modem; you may also be able to use your home's phone-line system with the right hardware. To set up a wireless network, you'll need a wireless router and compatible wireless devices that can access it. This comparison will help you understand the advantages of both wireless and wired networking devices, so you can set up the best home network for yourself.

Best Cell Phone Features
With the bevy of options and features now available in cell phones, it's easy to find one perfect for you. Before you begin searching for your next cell phone, take the time to think about what you need your phone to do. Below, you'll learn the best cell phone features. Camera: Cell phone cameras can be quite handy when you happen upon a special moment without a regular digital camera on hand. Most camera phones don't take very high-resolution (usually 1.3 megapixel) pictures, but there are some that top out over 3 megapixels. Some cell phone cameras even have small flashes. If you want a camera phone, find out if it comes with the cable and software to connect to your computer, so you don't have to spend extra for a separate program. Video: Usually, camera phones that play video will also record video. Some non-camera cell phones also play video. Look to see if you can transfer movies from your phone to your computer. Web browsing: Many cell phones let you connect to the Internet. Most use Wireless Access Protocol (WAP), which allows the phone to connect to pages specifically designed for cell phones. There are many phones with full browsers, however, that allow you to view regular Web pages. Bluetooth: Bluetooth is a technology that allows you to transfer data wirelessly between devices. Wireless cell phone headsets use this technology, and it can also be used to transfer pictures, ringtones and other data between two cell phones or between cell phones and computers. Games: There are cell phones out there that have been designed with the gamer in mind, allowing you to download games that would compare to those found on a personal gaming system. Office software: Most cell phones feature some sort of a calendar and alarm. You can set a wake-up alarm or you can make it alert you for your next appointment. Other phones allow you to make notes for each appointment. Some let you create documents that can be transferred to your computer's word processor or spreadsheet. MP3 player: More and more cell phones are also MP3 players. Check to see if you need special headphones for listening (and if they're included), and pay attention to the phone's memory capacity. Memory expansion: Some phones, usually video or MP3 player phones, feature memory card slots, so you can save pictures, music or other files on removable flash memory. Voice dialing: If you absolutely have to use your cell phone while driving, you'll want one with voice dialing. The phone recognizes the contact you speak and places the call, allowing you to keep your eyes where they belong: on the road. Buy Cell Phones Back to Guides Directory Buy Cell Phones
