The person who wrote the other review was rating delivery? From a IT Managers' prospective (me), I work with these all day for a large company. The case is not cramped it is laid out in a very nice fashion with a tool-less design that easily allows you to add another hard drive. The are very well made computers (the cream of the crop) in reliability and performance.
it as thing this unit is too fast, it take care of thimng faster & more complete, than before
- How did the image on site compare with the actual product? more than satifided
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? as shown
Product worked very well for our needs. The purchase, packaging and shipping went very well.
When I received the unit the onboard LAN hardware did not function and the power supply kept cutting out. Also the installed software was XP Pro SP 1 (and not SP2 which was issued back in 2004). Called the refurbisher (Joy Systems) and was advised that the unit needed to be returned. I then called Overstock who agreed to rush me a replacement unit ..Replacement unit arrived within 48 hours (drop shipped from Joy Systems who, in their haste, sent me a unit without a COA sticker from Microsoft and without an installation CD or any instructions or other wrtten material.) When I could not boot into Windows I again called Joy who acknowledged that I should have been sent the a COA, installion CD and written instructions and that there was nothing I could do with the unit they sent me. By this time I had lost patience and told Joy that I had given up on them. I then contacted Overstock who arranged for the return of the second unit and promised a full credit. Accordingly I have no idea as to the performance of the unit . Overstock's performance was fine. Joy's was a joke - a very bad one Also note that the optical drive is DVD-ROMonly with no ability to write.data. The case is very tight and the location of the HDD is such that a second hard drive cannot be accommodated on the same cable as the installed HDD. While a second HDD could be installed on the same IDE cable as the optical drive, this would preclude adding an second optical drive which writes CDs ( This is probably academic since the 240 watt power supply would probably preclude adding both another HDD and optical drive
