IBM ThinkPad
The customer service from OverStock was excellent. The first laptop I ordered had some problems, but I believe this problem should have been detected by IBM who refurbished the laptop. When I asked for an exchange...no problem. I was shipped a new laptop and a return shipping label. If you are in the market for a "new" laptop, I believe you are better served with a ~$2,000 list price IBM that has been refurbished than something "brand new" at twice the used IBM price. The OS is XP...but I am fine with that. The "guarantee" by OverStock means a lot in this situation.

Refurbished IBM ThinkPad Did not Work
I love a ThinkPad and have owned several of them . This refurbished one, purchased for my husband, however, was scratched up (minor issue), and could not be used (major issue). When I attempted to start the computer it went into a hang state and never would go beyond that point. After several attempts I had to return the item. The return was handled with good service and the refund issued promptly.

I am very happy with this product. I haven't had a single problem with it and think it is well worth the price.

Not sexy - just functional
My sister-in-law wanted something that was reliable and inexpensive. She wasn't looking for anything with a fancy graphic card for gaming or a hard drive capable of storing the national archives. She was looking for something that she could use to go on-line and make purchases, check Facebook, and perhaps watch a movie. This met all of her needs. I matched this up with a wireless router and she's in business!
