Refurb is the way to go!

This refurbished product was better and easier to install than any new desktop I ever had. It's fast and user-friendly. You need a monitor for it, but it comes with a keyboard and mouse.

Good way to start

I used this pc for a backup to my webserver I run from home. Even though it only comes with 512MB of ram and a 40GB HD, thats still a good start for most users. The only draw back is it does not come with the reload/restore CD's. So, it's a good idea to pick up another HD after you make this purchase and then use some backup software to clone the original HD. Overall, this is a great running pc with good space to expand for the money. It's Vista capable if you choose to upgrade, not sure if it will be able to handle Windows 7. Nevertheless, it's a good buy in my book.

Ugh

gordonm884 Nov 10, 2007

This unit came with the world's nastiest virus installed, antispystorm. After numerous attempts at removing it myself I resorted to taking it in to a computer shop and paying $96.00 to have it reformatted. Adding this cost makes it no bargain at all. Further it came with no software installed and this had to be ordered, albeit, at no cost. If the item descriptions were a little bit more expansive some of these problems could have been avoided.
