This was the SECOND IBM Lenovo R400 2.26 GHz 160GB 14-inch Laptop (Refurbished) that Overstock sent. The first one had keyboard issues, we couldn't get past the initial setup process. The second one worked for a short time and then the WIFI connection stopped working. I sent it back. Overstock is suposedly sending a THIRD IBM Lenovo R400 2.26 GHz 160GB 14-inch Laptop (Refurbished) as soon as they get it, BUT I have lost faith in Overstock's quality and willingness to provide a solution. I paid for EXPEDITED shipping for the FIRST laptop, BUT when I checked the status of my order and saw that it wasn't shipped on time I contacted Overstock via online chat. Both times I was assured it would be delivered ontime. The SECOND time I contacted "O" online chat I told the representative I would cancel the order since it hadn't shied, because I NEEDED a smalll laptop for a business trip and I NEEDED it on the date for which I paid EXPEDITED shipping. I SHOULD HAVE CANCELLED THE ORIGINAL ORDER. I am betting they won't post this review!

This laptop looks new and wooks well but from the description I was hoping for a line-in jack so I could record records like I could with my old Acer laptop. Also has bluetooth which I didn't expect but I couldn't make it work until I loaded an application for it. I think it is a good laptop for the price.

DURING SETUP OF THE ITEM, DISCOVERED THAT THE WIFI CONNECTION AND TWO CHIP SETS WERE NOT WORKING. THOUGH WE HAD TO RETURN THIS ITEM WE ARE NOT DISCOURAGED. WE HAVE PURCHASED SOME REALLY FINE ITEMS IN THE PAST THROUGH OVERSTOCK'S REFURBISHED PROGRAM.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. THIS PARTICULAR ITEM WAS POOR IN THAT APPEARENTLY IT WAS NOT INSPECTED PROPERLY BEFORE BEING RELEASED.

I bought this computer looking forward to using it. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised and have enjoyed my purchase since day one. My only qualm with this laptop is the battery life. My battery at full charge only lasts 50 minutes or so. I have been looking online for some kind of extended battery, but it seems that the computer is outdated and no accessories are really sold for it. Besides that great buy. I recommend it to anyone.

The first one came in with poped keyboard cover. So I asked for a replacement. The second one came in good condition but looked very old. It supposed to be a refurbished computer not a off lease and I could have paid much less for a off lease computer. So, I asked for return and refund.

Product looks NOTHING like the picture. It is not silver. It is matte black, and quite worn looking. Seems to be quite touchy, and only shows a screen for an instant, before the screen disappears. Randomly acknowledges (or not) thumb drive inserted in USB port. Sending it back asap.

This was our big Santa present. Unfortunately, it arrived on Dec 27. Guess I needed to order earlier! Was a little concerned about getting a refurbished computer. It doesn't look brand new, but pretty close, and it seems to run well. The biggest problem is that the cd drawer does not open easily--I have to finagle it a bit. The drive works just fine, though. Debated returning it to get this fixed or trade in, but I think I'm too addicted to having a laptop. I'd say, if you're picky about having things just so, go with new, but if you can deal with quirks, it's worth the bargain.
