  • Exactly what we wanted

This projector was exactly what we wanted. I researched all that Overstock had to offer in our price range. The Ben Q MX505 seemed to fit our needs. When it arrived we were pleasantly surprised that it exceeded our expectations. It was easy to mount on the ceiling using mounting hardware we already had. The color projection was perfect. By the way, we ordered it using standard shipping and expected it to arrive in about 7 days-It came in 3.

I had 800 x 600 DLP project before this one, oh my what a difference 1080p makes.. ! the price was best at the time of purchase at I read many reviews on various different projectors before purchasing this one. pros: - great 1080p image - works well with ps3 gaming - works well with PC video playback - built in speakers are pretty good for general use, but u obviously want a better external one for theater like quality. - settings have many modes, brightness, blank mode, eco mode, tells you how many hours the projector's been used - 2 HDMI plugs - used a DVI to HDMI cable to connect PC videocard to the projector - works well with radeon cards, but not with nvidia con - if you have this unit installed on a shelf somewhere it gets overheated and turns itself off in 20 minutes of video playing. - with that said, you must have this installed away from walls for better air flow - i suppose this is not really a con and probably all projectors do this ...

  • Portability is the KEY!

I'm always on the look out for any gadgets that'll help me in my profession (I'm a sales rep). Found this projector and had many worries prior to buying...."would a small projector like this be able to perform?".. on power it provides 55lumens which is not very bright but in dark spaces it performs.. the speaker volume is low so that is one area i'm hoping aaxa improves on.. for a business professional like myself the pure practicality of the device is be able to walk into a meeting and never have to worry about the compatibility of hooking up your laptop or tablet to give a presentation is great... it's a great conversation piece with customers and with co-workers.. Overall i'm satisfied with the quality and particularly the PRICE!! try finding a projector at this price level and you'll know what i'm talking about. BTW my wife loves sharing video with the kids right before bedtime.. kids love it!!

  • Pretty neat small projector

Nice projector I received. It was definitely smaller than my older projector. So it helped save some space and weight when carrying it around from room to room. I liked that Android OS is onboard. It's a little slow initially but once everything is running it tends to smooth out. I like that it has direct wireless streaming so I can mirror my phone onto the screen to show my friends pictures. But the internal speakers aren't great. So I just use my external ones through the headphone jack to get sound. I also use this projector with my XBOX to play games on the wall in a light controlled room. Would definitely recommend to a friend who's wanting something different than a set sized TV screen.

  • Pretty good projector, Wi-Fi capabilities are ok

This projector is easy to use, easy to setup. I had to call customer service a few times because I needed help setting up my iPad with it and there was either no wait time or a short wait time and the US staff is knowledgable. My only problem with it is during my presentation, I used the Wi-Fi feature since I didn't want a long HDMI cord from one of the room to the other and there was a significant delay. Best just to use a direct connect and not pay the extra money for the Wi-Fi feature until that gets better. I had to pause for at least 10 seconds or more to get to the next screen in my Prezi - not good when you have a room full of people during your presentation. Other than that, it has good picture, audio works well and looking forward to trying it out with video play.
