Excellent quality and function, even more so in view of reasonable price. Light enough to easily carry but weight and design such that it seems solidly anchored to ground. Design unobtrusive, thought was given to footprint and profile, aesthetics were given due consideration. Virtually silent at low speed; higher speeds not used. Good height, simple, effective control. Love the fan...I put it together myself instead of having to call my son!! It is lightweight and easy for a senior lady to handle. I use it at night as I like a breeze when I sleep, so it is not noisy, and has plenty of breeze on the lowest setting. I have had it now for a couple of months and am still pleased with it.

I purposely bought a holmes brand fan because they are such good products. No other house fan I've tried works as well. Very happy with the product.

Assembling the fan was easy. The blade guard is wire, the fan blade is plastic, the back cover of the fan head is plastic. I was a little concerned about the base of the fan being stable (it is hollow, metal tubing), but it is. The pivoting fan head is excellent! It can lay facing up, like in the picture, or turn to face forward. It has the option to oscillate. I keep the fan on low and it blows enough to keep everyone happy. If you're the kind of person that likes TONS of air coming at you, then just put this fan on medium or high...but really, the low setting puts out a satisfactory amount. Overall, you could say I'm a fan of this fan.

This fan is exactly as advertised. It was VERY easy to put together!! I like that I can switch from a tall standing fan to a table top fan without any problems. I haven't done it yet, but it is time to clean and I believe it will snap apart so I can clean everything and snap back together. I hope it happens that easy! Lol!
