CalGal When my old alarm clock radio finally died I found this one at a very good price. The clock face can be dimmed or bright, which I like. It has a feature which illuminates the time on the ceiling, but I have high cathedral ceiling, so I don't use that feature. I don't use the alarm (don't we all use our iPhones?) I do like the sounds, especially the ocean. It sits nicely on my bedside table and looks nice.

The "cool" factor... Only had this for a couple weeks...still getting used to all the new options my old clock/radio did not have. I love waking up without the beeping blare; a gradual realization of sound is so much better. Going to sleep at night is also enhanced with the "sounds" of nature, etc. I'm hooked on the "ocean" waves. So far, it's what I wanted/needed and a whole lot more. The projected time on the ceiling is probably the best part...just look up and know the time! Classic.
