This Hitachi has a great picture and awesome features. I was concerned about buying initially because of a dearth of reviews available for this model. However, Overstock offers a good warranty at a good price, so I opted to buy the Plasma w/ the warranty. So far, so good. Great picture quality even without HD. With HD it far outclasses comparable priced models like the VIZIO, as the speakers are 20 watt as opposed to 15 and it offers more and better features and functionality. A positive is that it has multiple HDMI ports that are easy to access even when wall mounted.

While not a top-of-the-line HDTV, this unit delivers an unbeatable value for your money. This is a sleek-looking 50" Plasma TV, complete with crisp, clean picture (mid-range for a plasma TV, 760 I believe, but it still looks fantastic!!), SRS sound on the built-in-speakers, and includes modern Plasma TV essentials like a screen saver. I believe it also includes a built-in HD receiver, making it compatible with new digital broadcasting... and after you see those on this unit you won't want to go back to regular analog TV! Although the unit is refurbished, it looks and performs like a brand-new TV. This fact that the unit is refurbished makes this a no-brainer for anyone wanting a big HDTV without the big price tag. Overstock.com's fantastic shipping rate rounds out the unbelievable value of this package. While it might not be top-of-the-line, this Plasma TV represents a great product with solid performance at a price that simply cannot be beat, especially for the first-time HDTV buyer. Highly recommended!!
