The person who put 1* probably didn't get a proper seal with these earphones. If you don't get a proper seal with any in-ear, there will be no bass. If the default sized eartips don't fit you, use the other ones supplied until you get a proper sealing fit. You always experiment with the different sized tips until you get the ones that seal your ears the most. It doesn't matter what in-ear product it is. In-ears are meant to go into the ear, not hang on the outside like earbuds and thus will give you much better isolation, which is great for outside urban use, like on a bus or train. These are defiantely one of the best in the sub US$40 range. Don't be silly. Skullcandy's offerings are crap compared to these.

Honestly, I'm very pleased with the audio quality of these headphones. For the price, as the title suggests, these are very impressive. I had read several reviews of these headphones before finally deciding on them. Having now used them for several weeks now, I'll give you my review. What I liked: The highs are very nice and detailed, but become very harsh at or above about half full volume. Mids are decent, if not a bit recessed. Lows are very good and surprisingly very tight for a headphone of this ilk, but, as with the highs, become a bit over-bearing above half max volume. Microphonics are very minimal on these headphones which will be a plus for anyone using these while working or exercising. (And your wallet won't scream in terror at the thought of you breaking them.) Speaking of which, the M6's do a pretty good job at blocking out external noises. Further, they stay in your ears VERY will. The build quality of these is very high. They feel and look...well....amazing compared to what you would expect. The pictures do NOT do the appearance of this headset justice. They look very retro-cool, in my opinion. The number of accessories you receive with these headphones is phenomenal! (Just as a quick rundown, you get the following: 1 x black headphone case, 1 x wire wrap, 1 x airline adapter, 1 x large bi-flange earpieces, 1 x large triple-flange, 1 x small triple-flange, 1 x each of small, medium, and large single-flange earpieces; not bad for a budget headphone, eh?) As a final note in this section, these headphones are very comfortable. I can keep these in for hours on end without any ill effects. What I didn't like: As I stated in the previous section, these headphones have a very limited driver. Cranking the volume up above half max will result in exponential loss of audio quality. Details are lost, highs become harsh and nigh unbearable, bass becomes muddied, and mids start to disappear into the audio nether. (These are budget headphones...so don't expect miracles. :) ) This should be something to consider for those using these in very loud environments where you would need to turn the volume up. I generally don't like headphones with memory wires, and the M6's are no exception. I've since removed the steel wire and have found the comfort to be improved. Overall, I am very impressed with the M6's. They have exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. I would highly recommend these or any of MEElectronics products to anyone, friend or not. Which brings me to one last point I would like to make. MEElectronics customer service is excellent! When I received my pair of M6's, I noticed that my bi-flange earpieces were damaged. I e-mailed MEElectronics and received a response within 6 hours. Three days later, I received, a very well packed, set of replacement earpieces. (Thanks again, Simon!) So, on the whole, my experience with MEElectronics has been a very pleasant one. I believe the great sith lord Darth Vader expressed my feelings most aptly when he said, "Impressive...most impressive."

These earphones are good quality, and fairly comfortable, however, the sound quality wasn't that good. Also, for some reason, when I use these with a USB audio adapter ($1 off ****), the sound quality is bad. First, I thought it was the USB audio adapter, however when I plugged in a cheap ($10) headphone, it sounded great! I was surprised, happy about the USB audio, but disappointed with the earphones. It may be some impedance mismatch, but compared to the $10 headphone (with volume control) I expected more. Geoff

these are great earbuds, I have no complaints about them. However, the site lists them in the noise canceling section, and they are NOT noise canceling earbuds. Noise canceling earbuds emit frequencies which cancel out external sounds, these are simply sealing earbuds. They're better than ipod buds (but really, what isn't?) and they're very comfortable, and came with three sizes of tips in addition to the triple tips, but the site is misleading customers by placing them with the noise canceling headphones. the 4 stars are for the earbuds, 1 star for overstock.com for such a mistake.

These were cheap and work well. The freq response is not great (tinny) but for radio/podcast and phone calls these are excellent. Clarity over car noise or general noise is good, so for music in noisy areas these fit the bill. For more intense listening 1) get better headphones & 2) stop listening on devices that compress the frequency range anyway! I like these and would buy more. (I am a techie and do live sound on occassion)

Received the product on time and as described. Unfortunately, when reading the prior reviews, I chose to ignore the feedback that the headphones just did not fit most people. You have to pretty much have no ears to wear these. Unless you have _really_ flat ears, these don't work well- too bad as they sounded very good. I think a further note is worth pointing out. Overstock claimed to provide a 1 time free return slip- very nice of them. Then they charged me for the return shipping anyway. And yes it was used and mailed within the 10 day window they provided... I may attempt to recover via email, though it's a very small amount <$7.

My wife got these headphones for me for Christmas and they are awesome. I'm an old-school over-the-ear make music an experience kind of listener and these , while -on-the-ear, deliver excellent surround sound. they are outstanding quality and I haven't had the volume all the way up yet. great range too--the kind of quality you just can't get with in-the-ear systems. The wirelessness is great too. we have an old plaster walled house and the signal gets through 3 floors with no problem--further than our wireless wall speakers and further than our 5Gb cordless home phone! the rechargability is a nice feature too. batteries are standard AAA that recharge through the base (or take them out and recharge). I put about 20 hours at 1/2 volume and they are just now starting to need a recharge. I would definately recommend.

I'm not an expert on sound but I know what I like and I really like the sound on these headphones! PRIMO! (I've had Sony which at the time were very good and before that RCA, which were alright but didn't last long.) And the range was MUCH better than I had anticipated. Just before I got these I tried the 130s and the sound was great but they kept cutting in and out so I sent them back. I know it must have been a defective pair but I decided that if I went with the 120s that didn't have the surround (which is really only good if you are listening to lots of music...I like to listen to the tv, so it really wasn't an issue) or the 3 channel tuner (which didn't work on that pair) that I might not have problems with it being defective since it didn't have that extra technology (which was probably messing up the works). I'm really glad I did. The range on these are amazing! Even better than my Sonys! We live on 7 acres and I like to be outside gardening and listen to all my favorite shows (the old comedies that I know by heart, lol). I was working on expanding my horses hot wire fence and when putting up the wire I was wearing my headphones and I could hear everything just fine...and that was about 1/2 acre up the hill...in the trees! After the initial long charge (they say 16 hours) the batteries last a VERY long time. I've used them for over 12 hours (almost straight through) and still had "juice" left in them. I have used them (on and off) until they stopped working and figure that was about 20 hours or so. There is an on/off switch on the headset so if I'm not close to the base I just switch that off until I can get them back to charge when I am not using them. And the charging unit is much easier to use than my old Sonys (and from what I hear, the new Sonys too). Just align the metal "slots" on the headset to the wire "prongs" on the base until the red light comes on. The only thing I liked better on the 130s is that after the headset is fully charged is that THEY would blink to let you know that it was fully charged, this set didn't. But I don't see that it would hurt the headset if they sat a long time without being charged. I just think it would be nice to know when they WERE fully charged. One drawback that I have found is that the earpads for these are a bit uncomfortable. Since the plastic casing that it surrounds is flat and the foam cushion isn't as thick as I think it should be, I found them difficult to wear after an hour or so(but still not so uncomfortable that I would take them off). I loved the padded cushions on the 130s and wrote to Sennheiser to see if they could be interchanged. They said it wouldn't be a 1:1 exchange but maybe with some modification (glue?!) it could work. I haven't purchased a pair yet to check it out, but I don't see why they wouldn't work, they seem to be the same size and shape...and they stretch over the ear backing anyway. The other drawback (which has been mentioned before) is that the switch for the volume and the one for tuning are right next to the other on the headset and sometimes I hit the tuning button (and lose the sound) when I want to use the volume. It isn't a big issue but that is why it only got 4 starts for ease of operation and for features. I'm sure I will get used to it eventually (I've had them for about a month). They really should put one of them on the other side with the on/off switch (which is a different type switch). All in all these are a really great set of headphones and I would buy them again and I would recommend them highly. I am very happy :) OH! And just to let you know, the price from Overstock.com was the best I found for a new pair (from a reputable seller) and they were shipped and received in very good time!

Sound isn't very sharp, even compared to other cheapo's, for the price they are nice and you get some style, but I bought two different other earphones for the same price or a $1 less and their sound is crisper.

I bought this as a gift for my nephews - 1 in each design - and not only is it perfect for them, but they absolutely loved the unique design of each. Very sleek and easy to put away.

These wont last at this price: Meaning #1: they frequently sell out. they work and are a good price. Meaning#2: they are not durable. If you pull on them too hard, they break. I have had several pairs, and will buy several more just because of the price. If they raise the price I will move on to something else. The hub on the end where it inserts into the phone frequently separates but is easily glued back down.

I purchased 4 pairs of these as a low-cost alternative to the $40 sony earbuds with mic that I normally use for talking on my cell phone. Through normal usage i wreck a pair of the sony buds every 2 to 3 months, so I wanted something priced more in the disposable range. These seem to be just the fit. 1 of the 4 pair that I ordered came out of the package in a non-functioning order, but the other 3 (and the extremely low cost) make up for the bad unit. These may not be the best if you are an audiophile...but then again why would you look to use these in that case. :)

These were WAY too cheap to pass up! And 2 for 1? Even better! I go through earphones like crazy! I don't know if it's me or if I just need to buy the really expensive ones?! I keep having problems with the wire shorting out and losing sound in one of the earphones (usually around the area that the wires split apart). At this price, I bought these and another brand (equally cheap on Overstock!) -- hoping one might be better quality than the other. So far, they're about the same and they're both still working properly after daily use for several weeks. If you are like me and consider your earphones as "disposable" due to the seeming inevitability that they'll short out (and aren't bothered that they provide the best sound quality), these are priced right!
