I ordered this in good faith after talking to a representative telling me that this is not the PCI Card and is the actual PVR box as pictured. My package finally arrived in the mail, and I already had a bad feeling as the box seemed too light and too small. My fear was confirmed when I opened the box to find the PCI card I DIDN'T want. Extremely disappointed. Now I have to make an extra trip to ship this back and get my money back. Guys, change the description to what the item actually is: a PCI TV Tuner card for a computer, and don't fool people into thinking they're getting a $200 HD PVR Box.

The TV Tuners so far works as advertised and does what I need it to do. It does not seem to have Macrovision which helps with digitizing some of my VHS tapes.

- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? So far it works fine.
This is my third Hauppauge TV card over an 18 year span. The first I used for several years, then it fried when I tried to install it in a new computer. The second one I used for a good 12 years, and it still works. I bought this third card for a new p/c running Win 7. The picture quality is fine, but I have a couple beefs. Previously, with the second card, when I'd change channels, it would tune immediately, but now there's a lag of about 2-3 seconds. A bit annoying. And on a few occasions already, the tv has frozen up, just stopped. I have to close and relaunch to get it running again. It seems there is considerable demand on the system to keep this running. Be advised: you MUST have a graphics card installed to run this, the more memory the better. I bought a graphics card with 1 gig of memory, now I wonder if I should have gotten more. Perhaps with more memory, the above problems wouldn't happen. All the same, knowing what I know now I'd still get this. I love having TV on my P/C.
