Where is the dvd slot? on The top or the side?
Set up is really easy. Plug & play. The only complaint I have is the sleep timer. You have to go through a full menu and hit scroll twice to get to the sleep timer. Once there, the writing is so small it's difficult to see the length of time you're setting it for if you're more than 3 feet away. Once finished, you have to exit out of the menu too; it doesn't simply close....

I really loved this TV and the DVD player is a great feature. The one thing I did not like was the fact that it had only certain settings for the screen size and picture display so some would make the picture bigger than the screen and cut things off. Never found one that really gave me a picture size that actually fit the TV screen correctly. Sadly I waited too long to use the TV so I was not able to return it. I did use it for awhile but eventually gave it away. Great TV except for that feature but for that reason I would not recommend.Read More

Where to Use a TV Mount to Hang Your HDTV
When you're setting up an entertainment room, your TV will be the focal point. The variety of TV mounts allows you to choose just about anywhere in your home as the location for your TV. Here are some places to use a television mount to secure your HDTV.
Tips on Decorating your TV Armoire
Once you have your new TV armoire set up, you'll be ready to make it a fixture in your home. How to Select a TV Cabinet
Watching movies, playing video games, enjoying the latest TV shows: When you're doing any of these things at home, you're looking at your television -- and whatever it sits on. A TV cabinet is furniture that is both functional and decorative. It will hold your media components and store some DVDs and games, too. To choose the best one for your living room, keep these tips in mind while you're shopping.
How to Set up a DTV Converter Box on an Older TV
If you lost your television signal when TV stations converted to the all-digital format, then you probably need a digital converter box, sometimes called an ATSC tuner. Once you have that box, you still need to connect it to your existing television and antenna. With these easy steps, you'll be watching digital TV broadcasting in no time.
TV Stand Buying Guide
Lately, television consoles, stands and storage racks have been exhibiting updated designs, sporting storage for your media essentials in models that are tastefully coordinated to the rest of your living room furniture. Compact TV stands and corner TV stands are convenient in smaller apartments, dorm rooms and offices, but even large homes can benefit from the clean look and discreet presence of a television stand. As more people upgrade to lean flat-panel televisions, they are seeing that the smaller size of a TV stand is all they need. The furniture industry usually reserves the term "entertainment center" for the largest TV furniture, big enough for the television, a cadre of audio or video components and a full CD-DVD collection. TV stands tend to be smaller than full entertainment centers while still having enough shelves for a few components and some media storage. For smaller homes or for smaller rooms in larger homes a stand may be all the TV furniture you need.

One of the great things about high-definition television sets is that they are flat enough to mount easily on a wall. Entertainment Center Buying Guide
While your television set may be the focal point of your home entertainment activities, what it sits on -- or in -- says a lot about who you are. Is your TV still sitting atop that beaten up particle board TV stand that you bought at a garage sale 10 years ago? Perhaps it's time to upgrade your living room furniture, starting with a new entertainment center. Home entertainment centers have been around a long time and have evolved quite a bit from the massive wooden cabinets of the 1960s and 1970s. Which entertainment center is right for you will depend on what you want to use it for, the components you want it to store and your personal taste in furniture.

If you're ready for the most advanced gaming experience you've ever had, then you'll want to shop for Sony PS4.
1080p-HDTVs vs 1080i-HDTVs
High-definition televisions provide a higher resolution image than standard-definition televisions. Typically, HDTVs are available in three types: 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. The 720p and 1080i resolution TVs are quickly being replaced with 1080p as the industry standard, but there are still a lot of them on the market. Here are some comparison points for both 1080i and 1080p televisions to help you decide which will work best for you. What the numbers mean. In both 1080p and 1080i HDTVs, "1080" refers to the number of lines that make up an image on the screen. Each line is made up of tiny colored dots called pixels. The greater the number of lines, the better the resolution or clarity of the image. A 1080p HDTV displays 1,080 lines of pixels, whereas a regular television uses only 480 lines. Both versions of 1080i and 1080p HDTVs are superior to the 720p HDTV and to SDTV. What the letters mean. The difference between 1080i and 1080p HDTV resolution is seen in the way the lines appear on the screen. The "i" in 1080i or 720i stands for interlaced, meaning the odd-numbered lines appear on the screen followed by the even-numbered lines. The HDTV "interlaces" the lines together to produce an image. This happens faster than your eyes can detect, so you only see the full image. The "p" in 1080p or 720p stands for progressive scan, which means that lines appear sequentially on the screen. For this reason, the latter is said to have a sharper, cleaner image. Cost differences. When the technology was first released, a 1080p HDTV was significantly more expensive than 1080i HDTVs. The price of all HDTVs has dropped dramatically in recent years, however. You'll find great deals on both 1080i and 1080p HDTVs, so the price difference is negligible in most cases. Programming availability. Although 1080p picture clarity might be higher than 1080i, the resolution of the video source being used also matters. Most HDTV broadcasts go no higher than 1080i. Most video games are currently made in 720p, but a few are available in 1080p. Blu-ray players do support 1080p, and more Blu-ray discs are being made to take advantage of this capability. Some on-demand cable and satellite providers offer programming in high definition as well. The 1080p resolution and image quality are quickly being adopted by manufacturers and content providers, so look for more content for HDTVs that take full advantage of this technology. However, considering a good deal of attention is focused on your corner TV stand, it might be worth a good cleaning every now and then. Considering dust seems to gravitate to the corners of any room, you might want to do this more often than not; however, not all types of corner TV stands should be cleaned the same way, depending on material.
