I had just converted to HDTV on my satelite system and needed a HD system for my converted garage. The price of this projector was so attractive that I decided to go home theatre. After all was said and done I spent the same amount for this system, that I set up for a 106" display, as I did for a 50" plasma. The amount I spent also included a surround sound receiver and the speakers, that I bought independently, so the amount for the TV portion was actually much cheaper. I was surprised and delighted by the picture quality, unbelievable! The last NFL game I watched was too good! The only downfall would probably be the sound, which I really haven't tried. Set up was easy, finding the mounting bracket for the ceiling was somewhat difficult, but HP parts department helped there. Cabling from the system to the projector is a special order item if you mount it any distance from the screen, the local electronics store helps there. I now have a hard time getting my 13 year old daughter out of the garage. She's constantly watching movies. If I had this to do over, I would do exactly the same thing.

THis is a great buy, the picture quality when using blue ray discs is unbeaten by nobody. My buddy spent over 3,000.00 on a sony projector and this HP is even brighter and picture quality is just as good. THis is a smart buy.
