More desktop replacement thanon the go laptop
I purchased this as a replacement for an older HP dv7. Readers familiar with that series of laptops already know about their size and media emphasis. I'd like to mention in this review some of what found after using the two versions: 1) This is a heavier product than expected. Toting this laptop around airports, classrooms or offices will take its toll. 2) The battery life seems much better than the old model, but HP seemed to accomplish this by making the battery thick, so that the hinge end of the computer is raised ca. 19 mm. This is not a problem on a flat surface, but makes it surprisingly uncomfortable to put the laptop on your lap. 3) The touchpad has been redesigned to model touchscreens - you can enlarge or shrink the image on the screen as most smartphones do. I've found this to be an exceptionally annoying feature because when typing, my wrist seems to set it off, changing the size of the screen in the middle of a sentence. 4) The speed and memory are good. I'm not a gamer, but for most common programs this model should work quite well. My recommendation to potential buyers would be to use this to replace your desktop and not to use it as a portable computer.

Not the Processor I thought
I just recieved this laptop a few days ago. So far the only thing that I am disapointed about is the fact that it shows this laptop comes with a 2.8 GHz processor. That was one of the main reasons I chose this refurb. I truly comes with a 1.9 GHz processor with speeds UPTO the 2.8. My old laptop had a better processor than this one. So far other than the processor I do love this laptop.
