Fabulous find
This laptop is so fast compared to our other one. The screen is easy to view as the light does not blur your vision. I am completely enjoying this purchase and do use it every day. It is a joy to use, and I am no longer frustrated going from website to website .Even though it said refurbished, it looked completely new. The delivery was so quick and easy. Overstock is my new choice of venue when purchasing items. The site is easy to use, and you can just browse through pages of choices.

Biggest piece of junk that I've ever owned!
I did not purchace my G71-340US computer from Overstock.com. I bought it from Officemax. This computer is the biggest piece of junk that I've ever owned. Within a week of buying it, I had to contact HP support because it was cutting off on me. A complete system restore was needed and of course, I lost everything that I'd transferred to the system. I've only owned it for 10 months and it's been completely dead for the last month. In other words, it worked (on most occasions) for only 9 months. I have completely wasted my money on this item and of course HP will fix it, but they want to charge me $350 to do so. They said the motherboard has gone bad....I am so disgusted with HP's customer service that I'm strongly considering NEVER buying another HP product. I've owned three HP computers and one HP printer. Needless to say, I'm having problems with the HP printer and another of the HP computers. And if I haven't said this before, HP customer service STINKS.....

Great computer - great price
We've had this laptop for about a month now and it's worked great. We don't do any heavy-duty gaming or anything so I can't speak to its usefulness for that, but for basic, everyday home office use, it's been great. We've used it wirelessly with our wireless modem (in this case, my Sprint EVO phone) to stream movies off Netflix and it worked great. My husband plays some light-duty games on it (like Bejeweled) and I've been using Google docs and other on-line applications without any problems. We love the large screen size and how having a laptop has freed us up from having to sit in our kitchen office to do anything computer related. Great computer, no issues. Would definitely buy again.

mother board fried!
I loved this computer when first opened it, it was beautiful, and super fast! That lasted about a week! I only used my computer to check my email, facebook, online shopping. The screen went blank on me right in the middle of a purchase while shopping! I brought it to my computer guy and he checked it out and told me it was the mother board! I only used it four times/ an average of 9 hours of total usage. I was super annoyed to say the least! Thankfully I purchased the protection plan and Overstock customer service was quick to me set up for my return..but I had to beat the time limit of the return policy, so be aware of that for yourself if you want to do an actual return verses a repair/exchange. I will never buy a refurbished computer again! I guess it sounds too good to be true then it's probably isn't true. Don't waste your time with this computer, move on to the next option.

I am so happy about this laptop computer. It arrived a day earlier and I was very happy. All the instructions was so easy to follow and setup was a breeze. Even though this laptop is reburished, you would not even notice. It works like a charm and I would recommend this laptop to family and friends. Thank you Overstock!
