I have owned one of these for about 2 1/2 months now and am very pleased so far. At first I somewhat hated the windows 8, but as I learned some of the keyboard shortcuts such as win + F to just find my programs I've come to actually like the OS. Like any other new OS the first month is just getting used to it. As far as the laptop itself performance wise I have done some very interesting things with it so far, including setting up a second webcam and monitor as to Skype in a friend from another state to play some tabletop games, play quite a few older games such as Neverwinter Nights, up to some more current games from Steam. While it can't play something like Skyrim at decent FPS (And I never expected it to without a dedicate video card) it does have one of the nicest integrated graphic chip sets I have seen and has performed far beyond what I expected from a ***laptop. Battery life is someone unimportant to me as I don't take it from home often, but when I do I seem to get about 5-6 hours of life doing a mix of web browsing, playing games, etc. For a screen this size (and the screen is so very nice), that this is a good battery life. Overall I am very glad I bought this model, it is a far nicer laptop than I expected for under****, and was well worth springing a little outside by initial *** budget for.
