We haven't reached a year yet with this computer and it's slowed down.

My husband needed a laptop for work, he works in commercial construction so I knew it had to be durable but we needed to watch what we spent. I had no idea what to get so I got on the live chat gave the rep what I thought my husband would need .. large screen for blue prints, office XP, and wireless for sure but all the other goodies I left up to the rep and they were awesome. It's a little on the heavy side but other than that it's a great laptop. Holds it own,in and out of a work truck sets in a construction trailer all day.. we are very pleased!!

You may want to consider purchasing the warranty with this one. After one week the CD/DVD holder would not open. Overstock tech support did assist and I was able to resolve the matter. I regret I did not purchase the warranty for fear if something else happens and I had passed my 10 day purchase period to do so. All in all the lap is performing very well. Also there were limited instructions other than setting it up so you will have to get other instructions from online
