  • Works Great, but is this right for you?

    This print server works well for many older HP printers that have a parallel port, which do not use HP's cost-cutting Printer Performance Architecture which is now discontinued, do not have any MIO, LIO, or EIO slots available, and do not have any USB 2.0 ports like my HP OfficeJet G85xi. It also contains a Java-based interface to allow you to scan from any HP all-in-one to any computer that can connect to the print server that contains a Java Runtime Engine installed. However, you will likely need to upgrade the firmware when you get this print server. Also, this might not be the right product for your printer. You need to consult your manuals and/or HP documentation on its website to determine if this is the best print server for your printer.
