I needed a Jet connect quick and could not get a good enough information with a good price. This vendor provided everything I needed to know about compatibility and the price with shipping was reasonable. Also, the return policy is good. Now I don't need to keep a system on in order to print. All the newer computers don't have a serial input. I simply popped the card in and connected it to the network, then downloaded the universal HP network device app. It installed and configured just fine. My home network has XP, windows 7 and windows 2000 server on it. All 3 print with not problems. I had to do a little hack to get the PCL 5 drivers working on the windows 7, but nothing Google and a little reading couldn't fix. I love my HP 2100, it's over 20 years old. And now with the Jet direct,, she's a new girl for only $**. Very happy with this device compatibility with other HP printer solutions. Just plug N play.
After reading a previous review of this server I decided it would work in my HP printer too. I pluged it in and the printer recognized it immediately. I changed my printer to a TCP/IP port connection and It worked like a charm. Shipping was fast and it came thru with no damage.
Great price/value for this dependable workhorse. Easy to program and place into service. No complaints ever. They almost always outlast the lasers they are installed in.
Although HP support said it wouldn't, I didn't see myself paying a few hundred for the 'recommended' models, I knew this was an older card, but the form factor (ie - how it fits in the printer) is the same - and config over web was a breeze. Save yourself a few bucks and get this one unless you really need to send to your printer with gigabit speed...
