Received this computer and got it up and running in just a few minutes. Only problem is that within 3 day I was receiving an error message of a corrupted file which according to web searches was either a hardware issue or a problem with upgrading to windows internet 7. Customer service suggested re-installing the operation system to correct the problem which became a real issue. It has taken me about a week but I believe I have fixed the file. Other than that this is a great machine. I bought it because my old one crashed and our new laptop have Office 2007 which my wife finds difficult to use for work projects. I like windows xp and that is the main reason for purchasing this machine. If you like xp this machine is great. Lots of extras that work well for our applications. I also work from home and this machine works very well for my business. When comparing the prices of new machines, this is definitely worth the money.

My computer crashed at the end of April 2009 so I needed to purchase another one. All I needed was the CPU unit. I did quite a bit of research on what to buy. I used to be a professional computer technician so I knw what to look for. I saw the HP DC7100 3.2 GHZ Tower XP Pro (Refurbished). The computer arrived very well packaged and looking like new. I was very impressed with how it was shipped. The system worked right out of the box. It walked me through a quick set up routine and I was ready to work. It is plenty fast for all of my home computing needs. One of the main reasons I bought this computer was because it would be easy to upgrade. I've added 2Gb of ram and a 320G SATA drive so far. The case design and internal layout made this very easy to do. Overall I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to my friends.

The computer arrived sooner than estimated, and was as advertised. I prefer the XP Pro system over Vista anyway, Since my old computer also had XP. set-up was easy, and this version of XP already has a transfer program to import files and programs from the old computer. No outside software was needed. I'm very pleased with the product, and will be buying other accessories from Overstock in the future, and my wife is considering a refurbished laptop. I would not hesitate to buy again, and will recommend this product and store to others.

I wanted a desktop with windows XP. I have had this HP for a few weeks now and it works great. The only problem is the DVD R/W needs some new software to run movies but that can be purchased for less that $20. Overall, very happy with my purchase. Thanks Overstock!

I have had this computer for two and a half years now and it is used every day. I have added a secondary hard disk drive to it and well as a second "Lightscribe" dual layer DVD+RW DVD optical drive. I also use hard disk drives in remote enclosures (USB interface) with it as well. The stable has been added to; one more desktop and another laptop; but they have all proved to be rugged machines and, as my business is computer repair and upgrading, if they were to fail I would do the required maintenance myself. The has so far been nothing in the way of repairs needed. A pretty good track record.

Had to upgrade to Windows 7. Apparently didn't have good enough virus protection. Not the machines fault.

I was very happy with the packing of the products, they came to me in excellant condition, i did have a problem with the pc tower due to me having the dial up system, i had to purchase a 56k modem else where but once i connected to internet I was well pleased.

Hello: My name is Nelson, I was looking for a functional PC only for cover my needs and thank's to OverStock I really found it. This PC for many people should be less nice than others in the market but you can take it with you, do some upgrades and have a good machine for less money. I know what I say. This PC is working perfect, with more RAM and Memory, that's it. You can upgrade up to 3 GB of RAM and maybe 1TB HD. Thank's again to Overstock and keep going like this. See you later.

The machine came in on time before Christmas and worked great and is still working great at this point in time. It has our most favorite operating system, XP, it has ample hard drive space (80 Gigs) for our requirements,and has been a very nice replacement for our former workstation (11Gigs). I have already mentioned Overstock.com to many other friends and associates who have been looking for computer equipment.

This is a good computer but has a few flaws. (1) when I first installed it I had to call for help because it would not install the Startup disk. (2) The text on my monitor seems to be effected on some programes. (3) There is a program in the system called Javascripet (not Java). This program has a small glitch that shows up when intering into a POGO game room (no harm just ennoing).

I have been using my refurbished HP computer for about 2 weeks now. It appears to have been used (small wear area around power button) but came clean and with an XP program already in place. It seems to run fine and is a much better computer than I owned previously. With the Overstock.com warranty, I thought I's try it out and have to say I am very pleased!
