This cable looks different than others I've seen. I really don't know how to describe it well. Basically, it is wrapped with what appears to be nylon rope that has been shellacked. I'm sure that's not what it is, but that's what it looks like to me. I actually love how it looks, and would love to replace all my cables with ones that look like that one. Since cables have taken over my living room, it would be cool to replace them all with some that didn't stand out like a sore thumb, and looked cool to boot! Excellent price also.
The cable I received is actually not what is shown in the photo, but a more heavy duty, blue cable. This is fine, as I didn't care about the color. The cord is really thick, and looks like can really take a beating. This cable works beautifully with my hdmi port to my monitor, now I can do dual monitor with my laptop from my hdmi and analog ports.Great value cable if you need an hdmi to dvi cable.
A cord is a cord. Same quality of the high cost electronics store cords at a fraction of the price. These cords do the job.
