Got this for my laptop. I really needed an ergonomic keyboard which are unavailable on laptops. I saw this on another website being used by setting it over the computer keyboard. Not touching, but sitting over it. I have a split ergonomic keyboard on my desktop so it was easy to use (no learning curve). If you've never used a split keyboard, it may take 2-3 days to get used to. Yes, it was expensive but carpal tunnel is worse. And, since it's not permanent, I can use it on future laptops or even my desktop. So, it can be used for many years to come.
