Had this camera out on the snowmobile as soon as I got it, easily attached to my helmet, and even with the waterproof door on going 80mph with the wind blowing, I could hear myself laughing AND the winding of the engine as I layed into the throttle, NOT just a bunch of wind noise. Set it for 720p @ 60fps and the quality was absolutely fantastic at higher speeds, although I dont recommend 30fps for higher speeds due to a shuttering of the video. I also bought the seatpost clamp so I can strap it to my paintball gun when the 2011 season starts, and I also plan to take this skydiving with me this summer. Also, make sure you get a good SD card for it (class 4 and up) otherwise the cam wont work properly. Definitely recommend :)

This product was a Christmas gift for my son and his wife and my "search" resulted in the best price available through Overstock.com. I was concerned with delivery, which was ***, because I ordered it so close to Christmas but it came to my home in a timely fashion. Directions were very clear about returning the camera---something I was concerned about unnecessarily since my son was more than pleased with the camera. There were some warranty restrictions he found and checked this out with the manufacturer before "opening" the camera, and learned that the company honored the warranty on purchases made through Overstock.com. This is an excellent camera for catching HD action moments. This is the second HD Motorsports Hero I am purchasing, as my first is now sitting at the bottom of the Caribbean Sea . I've used the suction cup mount on my car traveling at speeds upward of 160mph. Unfortunately for me, I used the suction cup mount on the side of a boat without cleaning off the spot I attached it to. Needless to say even this high powered mount was no match for an unclean salt water surface. If me purchasing this a second time is any testimony, know that you will be satisfied with your purchase.

Great little camera does what its designed for. Strurdy construction. The suction cup mount impressed me with its strength. Stuck it on the outside of a M3 and video looked great at 80mph. Audio is obviously not the primary use for this camera. Fun toy. Only issue i feel is that you have to take the camera out of the housing everytime you want to re-charge or pull the memory card. But the housing is waterproof and that is a worthwhile trade-off. Just have to be careful not to touch the lens when you remove it. Sub 200$ its worthit.

The GoPro HD Motorsports HERO is really neat. Once you get the hang of the menu's it's easy to use. Good field of view. Video mode with the capability to take still shots at predefined intervals. Just don't try to use it with night driving.. the sensors can't handle the exposure range between headlights and the road. One boy will use it to monitor his suspension when at the track, another will use it to record him coming down the mountain on his bike! Plus you can use it as a small digital camera ( I bought the LCD backpack.) The new model is even better..,. wish I had waited for that one :(

The only thing that tends to become a problem is the battery. Maybe 4 hours if you are lucky. Need to buy another one

This is great for snow machining. The video turns out amazingly well.

Shoots excellent video in just the 960 setting. Would be five stars if not for the powering on issue.

This camera is well suited for a host of different sports. The suction cup holds strong and seems incredibly stable at high speeds. The camera does an excellent job about preventing wind noise. Couldn't be happier!

Great product for the price. the new ones are 300 and the picture is better on them and the slow motion is better. so other than that, this one is amazing!!!

Purchased as an in-vehicle dash cam recorder. Case had to be modified so cables (TV out, USB) could be used while unit in operation and for setting up viewing position. Unit starts a new file with same number if over 30 minutes or so time in use. Video quality very good on playback, with the exception of poor night viability.

When you look at the camera, it doesn't look like much, but the picture it puts out is amazing. It's so durable, too. We use it mountain biking with the helmet mount, and it looks like you're the one riding the bike. Picks up sound well, too. The mount for the helmet is stick on, which we were wary of to begin with, but it's the strongest stick to anything mount that we've ever seen! That camera's going nowhere when it's on the helmet. Haven't had a chance to use the car mounts yet, but I'm not concerned after using the helmet one. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone who is even slightly considering it. What you get for the money is a lot of memories, fun times, and a quality camera that will amaze you. Plus, you can't beat the price.
