  • Did it's job decently well til the fans had issues

    I have a 17" laptop and while the pad is clearly not made for a laptop this size it gets the job done. The laptop size keeps me from using most of the features it has, like the grips to hold the laptop on or the lift to change the angle at which the laptop sits, but both those things seemed fairly useless anyways. The pad itself seems quite durable and comfortable, great to sit in my lap when needed or to carry around. It keeps the sections of my laptop it blows on cool, which calls for some adjusting of the laptop to the hotter spots but isn't anything terrible and like I said gets the job of keeping my laptop cool done. The fans are very quiet when they work correctly. The cord is kind of annoying, a little bit in the way, especially where it plugs in, but live-able. Really my only killer complaint is one of the fans has started to whine and I can't seem to fix it. I still need to put some work into it and if I solve the whine then it will continue to be a decent pad that does a decent job. If I can't solve the whine then the pad (which I have had for only about 3 months) will become somewhat annoying and possibly useless. If I don't find a fix I'll contact Gear Head and let you know how helpful they are at finding one.
