I HIGHLY recommend this product. Easy to use, understand, and for someone who always gets lost, this is the most effective tool I will ever need (other than having someone else drive). This is my 4th refurbished product I have purchased this year, and have absolutely no qualms of doing so in the future. If any of you are in doubt as to buying refurbished, please give just one item you are interested in a try. You will not be disappointed. And, after all, you can return it if you are not happy. I received this unit as a Christmas gift and I highly recommend the unit. I took a drive to a rural area within an hour of opening the gift and it couldn't have been easier to use. I plugged the unit into the power adapter - it took about 90 seconds to download from the satellite (a one-time activity) and it was ready to use. I had not read any manuals and I found it intuitive to use. I was able to put in the address I was headed to and it quickly calculated a route. it wasn't the route I normally took so I turned a different way and it immediately recalculated the route without further input. The unit speaks in a variety of voices and it does give you the name of the street you will be turning on. Very simple to use. The only thing some people may find as a negative is that the pronunciation is not always accurate. However, to offset any confusion, the street name is also displayed on the screen.

So far this is the best GPS navigator of all the ones I have owned. Very easy to use and operate, love the voice directions so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. Accurate navigational aid that makes traveling in unfamiliar territory a breeze. If you are considering a navigational device, and this is your first or your an old pro at using them, I would recommend you give the C340 serious consideration.

I like the garmin gps. this is the second one i bought because my first was stolen out of my luggage. i am not technical but it is pretty easy to set up. the problem is that once you make a wrong step it is hard to correct. i also had a hard time attaching it to the windshield.

i bought this gps to try it out and it was great. no more using map books or making a wrong turn. it works soo well that i bought one for a co-worker, my wife and my mom. i found that for my mom in particular she is now not affraid to drive almost anywhere. this is an excellent product and i would recomend this unit to anyone. please note: if you buy a unit like this it is wise to remove the unit from the car or stash the unit in the car when parking at malls, street parking or un-safe areas.

I only used it once since I received it. I had put in the address for the destination, then I realized I made a mistake. I tried to correct the address to the right one wasn't able to change it. The address was 122 Cider Road etc. what I wanted was 122 Cider Ridge Road, the thing wont let me type the complete address, before it automatically puts the same name of destination as I first Had put in.

I bought this for my husband as an early Christmas gift. He's not very "technically inclined" so I wanted something that was simple to use and bought this based on the other reviews here. I bought the refurbished unit (as I buy most of my stuff from overstock) and as usual, it's in great condition and works great! The manual is short and yes, this unit is very simple to use. Within 5 minutes, it was set up and ready to go. We just plugged it in, added our home address and that was it. He absolutely LOVES it and it was worth EVERY penny! GREAT little GPS!

Best I've had. I just took it out of the box, pluged it in and followed the prompts. It was as easy as l-2-3. I told a friend about it and she purchased one for her daughter. They also love it.

What impressed about this GPS system was the price and how easy it was to set up and use. When I programmed the GPS system for a trip from Indiana to South Carolina, it took me through the major cities step by step with no complications. It made our trip stress free. Plus, with no missed turns, we didn't waste gasoline. That's a big plus with gas prices as they are. I would recommend this system to anyone.

We purchased a Garmin C340 Street Pilot to utilize on our recent trip to a remote area in Saskatchewan,Canada. It indicated even the smallest gravel roads. We used it right out of the box without bothering to read the directions until our return from a 1,000 mile journey. The device indicated distance in miles rather than kilometers and the arrival time didn't allow for the fact the province does not utilize daylight savings time.

This GPS unit is very user-friendly. I especially like that it announces the actual street names. Also, I found it very easy to enter in address numbers. I am really happy with this unit. My only note is that if you purchase this unit, and your initial location is somewhere in Kansas, just take it outside and drive around for a while--mine just had to pick up the correct signal outside.

i researched GPSs before i chose Garmin Streetpilot c340 and this is just what i wanted - THIS MODEL tells you names of the streets and does what GPS should do - brings you places! I used it few time to go to a totally unfamiliar destinations and got there easily. Obviously, the database for the places of interests is not completely accurate - restaurant that was practically across the street from where we were was not even listed and GPS showed the closest at 5 ml. away. Well.... nothing is perfect, but this model works for me and i LOVE the price!

The only drawback I found is that it doesn't recognize new construction. I went out of town and I put in an address of a home that had been built 2 years ago and I couldn't find it. The map on the garmin was empty as I drove to my friends house when in reality there were tons of roads and homes built. The maps need to upgraded more often.

everyone of my family purchase this unit and it came with a leather case that covers it. This unit did not, love the product just disappointed it was not complete.

I really think our Garmin c340 is a wonderful navigation tool. I love how easy it is to use. It has maps for everything I have been looking for so far. I know it is a little older model, but it has all the features that I could want and the price was excellent! I would recommend this product to anyone.
