This is an especially good GPS for those of us in the Trucking business! The ability to switch to "Truck" routing saves tractor trailer drivers from going into "car only" areas by accident. I am ordering another one as we speak.

I ordered the Garmin StreetPilot c550 Automotive GPS with Bonus Kit on Dec 22 with a promised free shipping by Dec 24. I was amazed it arrived on time! The product is great. All the features of any newer model but costing hundreds less. Sure, it looks bulky like an old TV (instead of the new sleek "flat" models), but does everything. Downsides: It murders pronunciation on some street names (Like "Expy" is sometimes pronounced "Ex-pwee") and the free MSN toy is very slow and missing tons of local gas stations and theaters. As with most maps or mapping tools, it will sometimes pick the most "direct" route, instead of the most sensible, but if you are driving into an area you've never been before, the visuals along with calling out of the streets by name gets you there fast. Also, it has a slot for a memory card to hold MP3 tunes, but that's almost useless (most of the time). Maybe I'll mount it on my bicycle so I can listen to tunes while I ride. For the most part, very happy with my purchase. Good product, functions well, great delivery.

The Garmin StreetPilot c550 is easy to operate and will get you where you want to go. It shows you where anything is located on your trip. If you need a gas station or a bath room, it gets you there. You should buy one. You want find a better price then Overstock.com.

After buying one of these in July for my husband, I decided to get one for my son and his family for Christmas. This has been a great gift - one that is really appreciated, useful, and reasonably priced!

I bought this GPS for my husband as a Christmas gift. He is a truck driver, and has used his gift a few times. It is fairly easy to use, however , it is difficult to hear the voice directions over the engine noise. He also uses the bluetooth feature with his cell phone. He can hear well on his end of a call, but I have difficulty hearing him on my end, because the bluetooth picks up the engine noise. Overall, I think the unit is a good value for the money, but could be a bit better in the voice department.

I ordered 2 for my sons Xmas gifts. To date they have not used because, although they arrived packaged well, but when opened the inner box, the part that plugs into the cigarette lighter to power the C550 was broken on both. I did not contact Overstock, and instead, called Garmin. They registered both units and will send parts within 6 weeks. So- to date, we don't know if it works or not.

This is my first GPS system and I found it very easy to use!

We have used it a few times. Those times were very helpful to us. It took us to the places we wanted to go. We use the bluetooth portion of this item also. We find it very helpful talking while we are in the vehicle. We downloaded the new 2009 map the give you for free, also. It took a couple hours, but we got it.

This Garmin could not be bought anywhere else for the money. This was truely and AWESOME deal. I love my new Garmin and my kids have helped me navigate thru it.

I had been looking for a GPS for my vehicle, since I frequently travel to large cities and need directions to multiple sites. I had seen the Garmin in use before, and was already impressed with the features. The feature that influenced my decision most was the Blue-Tooth technology (since there are several GPS units on the market that have virtually the same features), which enables you to use the GPS as a cell speaker phone.

Love it! Saves me $100 every time I make a car rental. So easy to use my 8 yr old grand-daughter can run it.

Really a great navigation tool, right out of the box, onto the windshield, touchscreen is hard to beat. The only little glitch we encountered was in a trip to Dallas, TX. When on the freeway, loops, and interstate with all of the constant traffic we needed an earlier warning for making exits and turns. Other than that it has been great, and very accurate with our destinations. I also like using the motel and restaurant guide, very helpful. Thanks Garmin

The set up and operation of this unit was very intuitive. Only had to read the book on specific topics. From arrival to usage was less than 10 minutes. Good screen clarity, was a little worried about screen size but found out the screen quality was more imprrtant. Great product.
