Easy to use right out of the box. I typed in the address and it took me right there. The maps are clear, and the graphic shows your car exactly where you are on the map. Clear directions announce the street names. I'm very pleased with the ease of use and the value.

This GPS is the greatest. I was always getting lost even in the city I live in. My dad used to tell me I was born with no sense of direction and I can tell you he was right. I have cried in frustation many times--but no more. This GPS takes me right where I want to go. It tells me which street to turn on and gives me plenty of time to get in the correct lane before the next turn. I like it that it says the instructions as you can pay more attention to the road. And that makes it safer. Just think--I`ll never get lost again!!!!!

The Garmin Street Pilot is everything advertized . . . and more! I figured out how to operate it without lengthy reading of the manual (and I'm not one of those people who can say that very often!). Here's a short story that will linger with me for quite some time: The day after first using the Street Pilot, I was given a pretty major "test" of it's capability. Friends who live in the hills in my area (Oakland) offered to take care of my dog while I went to a theater production which was fairly long. I was to go to their house after, to pick up my dog (this was at night, of course!) . Having only been there once and not knowing my way up the winding, narrow streets too well, I decided to program their address in the Garmin: A wise move, as I was later to encounter way more than I bargained for! First, the freeway exit to their home was closed . . . and the next one, as well (for nighttime construction). The Garmin had no problem redirecting me after I had to pass up the planned exit(s). Things got worse: Fog had rolled in, big time, and I could barely see the street; let alone the street signs. Since Garmin can "see" through clouds, fog, etc. it knew every street, turn and final destination perfectly. Did I mention that it "talks" you through every phase? P.S. I've already ordered another one for a perfect Christmas gift!

The streetpilot is really designed well, and very easy to use. I based my purchasing decision on what other customers wrote about the product and am very happy to say that I am pleased. The prompt tells you to turn in just enough time so that you don't make a mistake, there are many language options which I did not realize came along with the product, and since my parents do not speak English, I am delighted the street pilot talks in Serbian! I would recommend reading the owner's manual because you might miss out on playing with all the features this product contains Again highly recommended

After much research on GPS units, I purchased the Garmin StreetPilot c550 from Overstock at a very competitive price along with several accessories. We have used it on a cross country trip which included unfamiliar cities and roads and found the StreetPilot outstanding in furnishing us the best routes. Favorite features are the touch screen, voice intructions and directions to various type of businesses and lodging. I am a 72 year senior and found this GPS model easy to use and would recommend it to my friends.

Great buy! This GPS system is fantastic. It is easy to use with clear audible directions that are given throughout your programmed trip. It's like having a real navigator in your car without having to hold a conversation. I really like the fact that it tells you prior to a turn (like .2 miles) that the turn is approaching. Great system!!!

I just recieved this last week. After shopping around, I found the best price on Overstock.com and feel like a got a steal. This product works great. I've never had a GPS before, so I was a little afraid I'd be overwhelmed by it , but not at all. I punched in the address of a new salon I was going to and it took me right there. Even though the road it originally told me to turn on was closed due to construction, I just hit 'detour' and it gave me a new route in 10 seconds. We're going to be moving to Atlanta in a couple of months and I'm not worried about getting lost at all!

I am very pleased with the Garmin Street Pilot c550. Its ease of use is exceptional. One reason I chose this model was for it's blue tooth hands free phone call capability. With the purchase of the Garmin hands free microphone it works fairly well. Depending on the amount of road noise I am experiencing from the type of pavement I happen to be driving on it can the speaker volume can be inadequate. For the most part it works well and I am glad to have the capability. The mapping options and the restaraunt locator are very convenient.

I have purchased many items from Overstock, but this is my best purchase yet. I absolutely love this Garmin navigation unit! I had been wanting a navagation system for a couple of years, but the price was too prohibitive for my budget. I had been using the navigation feature with my wireless carrier, Verizon. I really liked it, but I realized I was paying $120 per year and I could apply that money toward a "real" nav system. I did a lot of research and narrowed my choices down to the TomTom GO 910, Magellan Roadmate 6000T and the Garmin C550. I am more than happy that I decided on the Garmin. It is so easy to operate and has more features than I ever thought about, but I use them all with ease. The bluetooth is really nice. I liked this Garmin product so much that I purchased 2 Garmin Nuvi 200 units for my son and his wife and my daughter and her husband for Christmas presents. Again, the Overstock price was a GREAT deal. I can't wait to give these fantastic gifts. I know they will really enjoy them! I highly recommend any Garmin product.

The Garmin C550 has met all my expectations. It is easy to operate. One of the things that I was impressed with is the easy view screen (day & nightime). I was a bit concerned as to how easy it would be to read and at the same time being alert while driving. With the no glare screen it was no problem; the images are large. It is easy to program in "favorite" addresses and the BlueTooth for phone use is a nice option also. I would recommend this model to anyone along with the ease, speed and competive price of purchasing it thru OverStock.

I purchased the unit as a present for my daughter, the bluetooth feature and the mp3 features were excellent and the battery life of 8 hours sold me. It was pretty much out of the box ready and has reduced her stress in driving to new places to almost zero. Good value and features. I am quickly becoming a dedicated overstock.com shopper as the continued excellent service and the very good prices wear away at any hesitations I might have.

Bought 5 of these so far - love them! The ability to change to "Truck Routes" is great for us professional truck drivers. Other GPS systems will take us through a side street or narrow road to save a mile or two; no such problem with the 550.

I got a great deal on the GPS. We used it when we traveled to GA, loved it. Great performance. We never made a wrong turn in Columbus, Fort Benning. On the way home, it automatically re-routed us off the highway because of an accident. Very easy to use.

The larger screen and audio make this GPS unit good for those with aging eyes. The program is missing some street information, but that changes all the time in Florida! Does receive traffic information, but you must live in an urban area that has the FM signal.

I made my purchase based on all of the reviews and good thingas i heard about this. So i purchased it and have been using it and it definetly works accuretly. The only drawback is if you wasnt to listen to the music through the garmin it does sound like an alarm clock radio so dont expect the nic crisp clear sound. But like most of us bought it for, to have this help with directions,find places easier, avoiding traffic etc. this is your best bet.

Have only had to use it once so far, and it was wonderful. Takes all the anxiety of trying to find street names and wondering if you've overshot your destination, out of driving to an unfamiliar address - especially when one has no sense of direction!

Product is accurate and easy to use and a great value from overstock. The video is fine, but the audio for MP3 use is going to be worse than any normal car stereo. The Bluetooth phone feature is really terrific however, turning your standard bluetooth compatible phone into a car speaker phone - a fantastic feature. I highly recommend this for everything except the MP3 player feature, which is simply a minor thing.

We took to the road soon after receiving our GPS so we didn't have time to read the directions. It was pretty easy to figure it out by looking at the screen. 600 miles from home our speedometer in our vehicle quit. I was quite delighted to find out the garman gps worked as a speedometer and it gave me a continuous readout of how fast I was going. This feature I also discovered without having to read the directions. Some new area of roads that have been there for six months or more were not on it yet and so far that was our only disappointment.

I love my Garmin!! The product is easy to use right out of the box. The display is clear although you'll find yourself listening to the voice directions. There's number of other features including bluteooth, a trip information screen and quick find points of interest. The mp3 is ok but I use my ipod and FM transmitter. Great product for a great price!

Overall, I really like this system. Right out of the box it is extremely easy to use. A few things to note. It can often take several minutes for the system to locate satellites so until it does, you have to wait. I sometimes put it on even if I know how to go somewhere to see what way it will take me and have noticed that sometimes the system seems to take you a little bit in a round-a-bout way. These few things may be common to nav systems. I used the same system when I was on vacation and it was a great thing to have. I would not travel without this.
