This was purchased for my college age daughter who has navigational difficulties. Even her old-style map reader parents are impressed with the ease of set up (truly right out of the box) and simple operation of this device. Features such as dining & lodging indicators are a big plus when traveling on rural interstate highways where amenities are not always visible, and the voice feature is very helpful for someone traveling alone She has used this for two road trips already and is quite pleased with the results.

My only complaint is that the database for the streets needs to be updated, there are several places near where I live that the GPS screen doesn't show a road that I'm on, but I think that if you go to the garmin website there are updates available. I just haven't had time for it yet. Great value, take it out of the packaging, plug it in, put ur address in and off you go. Super easy!
WE TOOK AN TRIP AND THE GPS AT TIMES COULD NOT LOACTE WHAT WE WERE SEARCHING FOR, IT WOULD TAKE US TO AN DIFFERENT LOCATION, ONCE WE WERE LOOKING FOR THIS RESTAURANT AND IT COULD NOT LOCATE IT , SO I STOP TP ASK AND IT WAS ACROSS THE STREET, MY UNDERSTANDING WHEN I PURCHASE THE GPS IT WAS ALREADY UPDATED AND READY TO GO, WITH NO PROBLEMS BUT IT WAS NOT AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE MOST RECENT UPDATES TO UPLOAD
