Two of my friends talked me into this purchase, raving about their Garmin GPS's. I work somewhere different every day-- so I decided it was a good idea. I LOVE THIS MACHINE! My love for it may have become inappropriate ( I would date it if I thought it was interested!) but the facts are these. Good quality, EASY TO USE. I love the voice directions, and the volume button ( I dont need it to tell me how to get home, usually) and I love the "arrival time" that changes as you sit in traffic. A necessary evil where I live. I even used it in a city that is my nemesis, it not only got me there with no problems-- but I arrived early and then hit the "Food" button and it found something near me. Got me there and back with time to spare. I also have to say this-- this device is STURDY. I dropped it *hard* about 15 times. No, not on purpose. I am clumsy. And it still works like a champ. I DO reccommend the dashboard docking device if you have a Saturn or a Avalon. Our windshields dont like the apparatus that comes with it. Also, worth the money. It keeps it from dropping off your windshield at 70 mph and giving you a heart attack. Trust me... This device is not the fanciest of Garmins GPS machines but I think it is perfect for my needs. Directions, and information about my locations. Gas, food, etc.. I don't need it to tell me traffic, or download mp3's. I would be too busy playing with it to concentrate. But that maybe just me, I am quirky that way. I STRONGLY suggest this device it is worth the money several times over, and easy to use. The turn by turn maps and voice directions are clear and simply stated. You will LOVE THIS MACHINE. Just hopefully not inappropriately as I do..

Just completed an 1800 mile trip going to several places with complex directions. The Streetpilot worked flawlessly! It announces directions to turn, lanes to be in, names of highways or streets to turn on. This system is wonderful! It is the best technology purchase that I have made in a long time. The maps, menus, and options are very clearyly marked and very easy to understand. I would recommend this unit for anyone that travels.

Works great, just plug it in. 100 per cent on the money with directions every time! Found easier ways then I knew of. Very happy, buy one, you'll love it. Easy to upgrade also.

Awesome unit. Simple set-up, clear display day or night, clear voice commands. Pleasantly surprised and very satisfied with this purchase. Recommend it highly.

first off, the good- let me say product is very easy to use. and does give explicit directions. now the bad- there are usually easier ways to get to your location so you must just go the way you want until the unit gets the picture ,recalculating,and recalculates to your desired path. the ugly- unit is top heavy difficult to mount in some vehicles, make sure you have a flat smooth surface thats within the area you can see. Otherwise just program where you want to go , turn up the volume and put it in your back seat. and listen carefully. good luck

This product was usable immediately out of the box and was simple to operate. Wish all electronics were this good!

I recently moved and the Garmin has really been a great help. There have only been a few times when I have been taken to the wrong place, but that may mainly be operator error. The only thing I don't like is the letters for typing in the addresses are a bit small. Otherwise a great buy!

Overall a very nice unit for the price. Some of the features are a little obscure and you have to read the manual. BTW, the manual is not with the unit - you have to get it from the Garmin site. But overall use is very easy and intuitive for the basic functions. I also bought the friction mount that allows the unit to sit on the dash intead of the suction cup mount. A great deal for the price.

I have been researched lots of other brands and models before purchasing the Garmin. The Garmin c340 is a fantastic unit. The c340 is very easy to set up and use. The screen is clear and sharp. The map is pretty accurate. I like the feature ¿Text to Speech" and wish it could be louder (it is hard to hear when driving with the window down) other than that; I am very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend it. And not to mention Overstock ship very fast.

Great product - after extensive research I chose the Garmin Street Pilot c340 to get me where I need to go. So glad I did. It is really easy to operate, has detailed information and is so simple to use. I'll never get lost again. In addition, Overstock.com was easy to deal with. This little gadget has been used alot over the past month and it is WONDERFUL. Gave it to my husband for his birthday and he has a nick name for it already, not one that is printable. I would recommend this to anyone. Great product for anyone on the road.

I used the StreetPilot C340 when I took supplies to the forest fires out in California. It got me right to my designation with out any problems. I got one for my husband because he seems to get lost all the time. I would highly recommend the C340 to anyone who needs a little help getting anywhere.

I havn't got to use it to much yet, but this gps was very easy to operate. Just plug in and go. I was impressed by the graphics too. The map that is loaded is older though, I was getting directions to the old stores around here instead of the new ones put up in the past couple of years. Other than that I am very impressed.

This was a great help to me on my trip to Disney. It worked great on the way down, but on the way back in the middle of a city it went dead. It had no power. It was plugged in and should have had plenty of power. I just stopped and put my old GPS in and got to the next leg of my trip. I left it plugged in over night. The next day when I started the car it came on and has not stopped working. I am not sure what happen. It was like the battery went dead. Still I would recomend this Garmon. It is very easy to program and it has taken me right where I needed to go, expect for that one time. It gives you plenty of time to get in the right lane when you are fixing to turn. Has a lot of features my old GPS does not have.

this was a great gift to myself. I tried it out on the way to work the other day and was fairly suprised that all the information was correct (streets along the way) without having to download the extra maps that comes on the disc with the street pilot. the only stuff it isnt correct with are the new parkway entrances that were just built in the last 6 months..it reroutes quickly when you miss a turn or choose a different route. I even found a shortcut to my dentist with the street pilot today. I didnt like the clarity on the american voice directions but the british and australian accents are clear and concise ..very cool and easy to use read and follow. I LOVE IT..also the extra mount that comes with it is nice incase you might want to adhere it to the dash instead of the suction mount..I am very happy with it so far..Oh, i went to a town i wasnt familiar with last night, two streets on opposite ends of the town with the same name and different zipcodes.(only in south Jersey) .street pilot gave me the choice of both, so , the first one i picked was wrong, but obviously the second one was correct and it got me there..It helps if you know a little about where you are going..all in all, i think this is a great product, cant go wrong with a Garmin. Easy to use, follow and read. all i had to do was play around with it a little before i put it in the car..out of the box, into the car..dont even know if i will need the disc with extra maps but its great that they send to you with the product...VERY NICE

Recieved my Garmin and tryed it out, the initial routing doesnt always take you the most direct route, but it does get you where you want to go. Its easy to operate, and will readjust quickly when you dont turn when it wants you to. Its small compact size makes it easy to move it to whichever vehicle I need it in. Overall very happy with this unit. Ordering from Overstock was easy as usual, and arrived within a VERY short time.

Works right out of box. Great having the names of the streets that will be turning on announced. Voice almost sounds peeved when you don't go the way directed. Sound quality not great, hard to get proper volume. Have couple of out of state trips planned and confident in the products ability to get me where I need to go.

Right out of the box this GPS worked great! Would recommend it to anyone. User friendly, very easy to use. Took it on a soccer tournament trip to Arizona and it worked great - no problems.

I bought one of these for my husband for Christmas. It is so great and so easy to use that, with our current move to the DC area, I knew I would need one for myself. Love the text to speech feature. Some of the restaurant locations need to be updated. The rest is perfect.
