I LOVE this vent mount clip. Not only does it NOT leave a tell-tale ring on my wind shield, but it's much easier to install & uninstall and more convenient than using the suction cup mount. Also, I find the vent location easier for me to reach (I'm only 5' tall) and for me to read. For me to reach the windshield mount it was necessary to locate it in a place that interferred with my driving vision which the vent mount does not do.

This is just what I needed. I could never get the suction cup mount to stay on the windshield. I gave it 4/5 stars because for me it's a bit tough to wrangle into the air vent, and on my car this positions part of the screen just behind the steering wheel, so I have to look around to see the whole screen. Still, for the price it's a good item.

WORKS GREAT. THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS IS TO AVOID PUTTING MY GPS ON THE DASH OR USE THE SUCTION MOUNT AS THESE 2 OPTIONS BLOCK A PORTION OF MY VIEW OF THE ROAD. ANOTHER REASON IS THE HASSLE OF HIDING THE SUCTION MOUNT OR THE FRICTION MOUNT WHEN I PARK MY CAR ON THE STREET. THEY ARE VERY BULKY AND IT TAKES A LOT OF SPACE IN MY GLOVE COMPARTMENT. THE VENT CLIP IS COMPACT AND IS EASY TO MOUNT AND EASY TO HIDE. IT HELD MY NUVI WELL.

For the money you can't beat it. It works.
A bit tricky getting the clips on to the vent.
Not real mobile when it is attached...meaning you can't adjust the viewing angle too much or it falls off.
Bought this as the suction cup mount kept falling off in extreme hot or cold weather. This achieves its intended purpose.

THIS IS THE PERFECT COMPLEMENT TO THE GARMIN NUVI NAVIGATION SYSTEM. IT CLIPS EASILY AND SECURELY, AND THE PLACEMENT GIVES FULL VISIBILITY OF THE ROAD WHILE MAKING IT EASY TO READ. WE NEVER USE GARMIN WITHOUT THIS CLIP, AND IT IS EASILY REMOVED WHEN WE PARK OUR CAR.

No assembly instructions, but it's pretty obvious and simple. Parts have a very tight fit and once together have a solid grip on the vent and GPS. I am pleased with the product.

I have a Garmin Street Pilor 550. I have to bean bag but I saw this holder and thought it would be a good permanent mount. I received the item wiithin 3 days. Upon opening it, I thought it looked a little flimsy and I was skeptical. I had a little trouble getting the clips to slide into the base but a little WD 40 helped. It was hard to get the clips into the AC vents but they did go in and WOW it does work. But I won't be taking it off very often as it will take a bit of work to get it out of the vents. It does hold the Street Pilot steady and at a good level. I have a Ford Ranger.
