Unit is described as cable length of 6 feet. Looking at the picture the unit consists of a transformer with 2 cable coming out - one at each end. Can you tell me if the 6 feet is the combined length of the 2 cables so each cable is really 3 feet long or are the 2 cables EACH 6 feet long? I ask because I need more than 3 feet from where I can mount the transformer safely, to where my GPS is mounted on my car dash.  on Mar 20, 2012
