I am very happy with my recent purchase of the above mentioned GPS. I researched many reviews and decided this model was straightforward and easy to operate. I was also happy that it arrived for a test run from my home in Mass. to Bailey's Island in Maine. It guided me there without a hitch. I was pleasantly surprised that it gave me ample warning measuring down from miles to feet as to when a turn could be expected. It dismissed my concern that it did not warn which lane to stay in before turning. As a senior citizen who appreciates simplicity and ease of use, this product fits the bill without sacrificing quality and performance. It's definitely a keeper!

The Garmin 205W did worked right out of the box. The display is great and graphics are sharp, clear, and easy to read. However, I found the menu structure a little challenging to maneuver through. With more practice, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it but it's not what I'd call intuitive or very user friendly.The voice for the audio is female and clear, but (at least so far) I haven't found any option to add new voices.The device comes with all the accessories you'll need to get started (car charger and mount) but you'll need to provide your own USB cable to connect to your computer.I would recommend this as a starter or second unit because of the O'stock price, but if you're looking for your first device, I'd spend a little more for a unit with more options.

Would recommend. Works fine. Needs to be updated though.

I've used it only once but find its instructions easier to follow than some other types I've used before.

I have one and I bought this one for a friend ...so great as usual. I cannot live without my navigation system.

Baught this for my daughter;s boyfriend. He loves it. It is better than the one I have which was 3 times the price 3 years ago. Garmin is the best GPS out there.

Got him this for valentine's day and he LOVES it! The GPS works great and the screen is quite large. Its not bulky like other GPS navigators, so its easy to handle.

Very rarely lose the satellite signal. Wish it would tell you the name of the street you are turning on instead of turn left/right here. Can become confusing with roads that are bunched together which one to turn onto. Overall great product.

The Garmin arrived before Christmas. I was able to get it wrapped an put under the tree, and my wife had no idea she was getting it. We used it for the first time the day after Christmas on our trip to Pensacola, Florida. It was easy to set up and program. The directions given were excellent. This is a good value for the money. We don't travel a lot, but it will greatly assist us when we do.

I have had this exact model for about a year and a half. i liked it so much that I bought one for my girlfriend for Christmas.She loves it too. Hers (the one I bought on this site) even has some new features such as economy mode where it finds the most gas saving routes for you.The points of interest are so great on this. If you are traveling and say that you want some food, or maybe coffee, you can find a particular restaurant, or maybe a Star Bucks closest to you.I have seen many other GPS's but I think the Garmin brand is the best as far as the maps, the directions, accuracy, and on this one the nice big screen that is just about as big as an iPhone on it's side.I really love this, and I've played with the smaller GPS's and this one is a luxury model.

The only thing I didn't like about Garmin's GPS System is the difficulty to upgrade the map from the Garmin Website download. The software can only install with Garmin download software. After, I downloaded the upgrade and shut down my PC, after I could not install the .exe file. I then had to go back to their website and re-download the map again. Once it does upgrade, I would keep the product off my PC. It doesn't appear to link very well with the PC. Seems to be more a stand alone device.

This is an awesome GPS!!! Sounds great! Is easily visual in day time! Love that it shows the speed limit in your current location. Great price! Happy with the free map update that Garmin provides within your first 60 days. No complaints. Highly recommend!

This GPS doesn't have all of the fancy gadgets that some do, but for being so inexpensive it's an exceptional value. I had the Nuvi 200W for a couple of years and liked it for the most part, but it would freeze a lot and turn itself off, when it was stolen out of my car I got the 205W to replace it and I like it much better. The QWERTY keyboard makes it much easier for me to type in destinations. I also like the new speed limit feature. This device will easily get you where you're going. I would recommend it to anyone!
