Was able to purchase this model for the same amount of money that ***** ****** wanted for upgraded maps. This model has lifetime maps.

The only thing I didn't do right away was to get on line and make sure to get warranty information and map updates etc before the 30 days that they recommend or you will have to pay for updates to maps etc which depending on how much you paid for your GPS can be almost the same price. That stinks. :-(

Overall, it is a great product and...

I have owned a previous generation of the Tom Tom for 6 years. So naturally I bought the same brand. Used this GPS three times and it worked fine. Tried it three other times and had trouble with bars across the screen and it being unable to find a connection to give us a map.
