Film Cameras

In this ever-increasingly electronics-oriented world, a few traditionalists remain. Although digital cameras have almost entirely taken over photography, a few film cameras are still out there. A 35mm camera forms an image on film--a thin plastic sheet coated with a silver compound. The resolution is still superior to a digital camera because the pixels in film are grains, some as small as four silver-halide molecules. Modern 35mm cameras can also shoot high speed, low light films, as well as infrared or many other specialty films that digital cameras cannot. Many film cameras, like digital cameras, are APS cameras--automatic point and shoot, that is.
